Esme POV
I am meeting up with Connor again today. He's heading back to Australia straight after Christmas so this will be the last time I'll see him. I'm going to miss him a lot, I've loved having him here. He's such an amazing friend and losing him would break my heart. Hopefully we'll stay in touch.
I still haven't told Dan about Connor. I know I should have but i didn't want him to get angry or think anythings going on, which it isn't. I felt horrible lying to him. I just couldn't find the right words and I couldn't bare to see a hurt look on his face if I said something wrong and he misunderstood.
Dan was all i could think about as I walked to meet Connor. I looked down at my empty hand wanting nothing but him to hold it.
Me and Connor planned on seeing Mocking Jay part 1 which is meant to be amazing. I really wanted to go see it with Dan but when Connor asked I didn't want to say no.
"Hey" Conner said as I walked towards him. He stood outside the cinema looking rather cold.
"Sorry to keep you waiting"
"No worries. It hasn't been long" he shrugged. We walked into the cinema. We had pre-booked tickets so we only needed to get popcorn.
"Sweet or Salt? I like either" I asked.
"Umm salt?" he said more like a question. Typical Connor always worrying about asking for something he wants.
"Sure" I smiled. Connor brought the popcorn even though I said I would saying he's rarely here so he wanted to pay. I said that was stupid but he persisted. By the end of our mini argument I couldn't tell if the server looked annoyed or scared.
After getting the popcorn we went straight into the screening room where the adverts were still playing. We sat near the back. Connor reached for the popcorn but I hit his hand away.
"Not still the movie starts" I frowned at him.
"Okay Mum" I rolled my eyes. But if you eat it in the adverts you have none for the movie. After 10 minutes or so the movie started. Connor grabbed a huge handful of popcorn and shot me a smug smile. I rolled my eyes at him again. He's such a child.
The end credits rolled and I got up putting my coat and scarf on ready for the bitter weather outside. Connor did the same.
"What did you think?" I asked.
"It was great I can't wait till part 2. Its going to be like Harry Potter all over again."
"I know the pain of endless waiting. What the hell do they expect us to do with are lives when they leave it hanging like that? Ugh i bet there laughing at us right now"
