Season 4: Episode 17: Best Laid Plans

"How the hell is the author trapped inside this page of the book?" Regina asked as she looked over the page. The door was the only thing on the page. "Don't ask me. you and Azelea are the magical experts." Emma said folding her arms in confusion. "Well, this is kind of insane." Regina said still looking over the page. "Moms, something is wrong with August." Henry said standing up. Both Emma and Regina walked over to where he was still on the couch. August was breathing heavily and extremely pale. "We need to get him help." Emma said. "But Azelea is still knocked out from before...we should take him to Mother Superior." Regina said.

-Sister of Saints home-

Mother superior was looking over August as he lay on one of the medical beds the nuns had. "His body has been through a lot. Azelea must have given him something to flush out the magic that was used on him, but that could only do so much for him in his condition." Mother Superior said looking up at Emma, Regina, and Henry. "what's happening to him now?" Emma asked. "He has been changed by magic many times. In order for him to survive this state he is in now he will have to be very strong." She explained. "You can leave him here with us, and when Azelea wakes she can join us here. Together we may be able to figure something out." She said before telling the three to leave. The best thing for August now was rest.

-Emma Pov-

"Mr.Gold and the rest are expecting me back soon. They sent me on a mission to get that page from Henry. If I return empty handed their suspicions of me will be confirmed." Regina said as she, Emma, and Henry left the Sister of Saints home. "Then give them this." Emma said holding out her and and conjuring a page identical to the one Henry had. "Wow, you're getting good." Henry said. "I've been practicing." Emma said with a grin as Regina looked over the page. "A forgery? This is Gold we're talking about." She said taking the page anyway. "Then pull out if they figure it out, and we will protect you." Emma said. "We still don't know what their up to, it's a bigger risk not to know." Regina said handing the page back to Emma as Henry opened the storybook. "They look pretty identical." Henry said comparing to two. "Regina's phone rang and she frowned. "It's them, they are wondering where I'm at. Let's try something else first." Regina said taking a picture of the page other phone. "All they want to know from the page is what the door looks like, maybe this will be good enough. Hopefully this will keep them on their wild goose chase." She said putting her phone back in her pocket. "I've got to get going. Bye Henry." Regina said hugging him tightly. "Tell Azelea I wish her the best." She said before leaving the two to go back to the evil group.

-Mary's apartment-

(Azelea Outfit)

Azelea, Killian, David, and Mary were all standing in the living room talking when Emma and Henry walked in. "Azelea, you're awake." The teen nodded. "Not for very long, I was just about to go to the Sister Saints when Hook arrived." She explained. Emma looked at how worried everyone seemed and frowned. "Killian? What's wrong?" she asked. "Before Ursula left she told me what the villains have planned. To get their happy endings they intend to darken your heart, love. To turn you into a villain so that you will no longer be the savior." Hook said walking up to her. "What? you can't just un-savior the savior." Henry said. "Ursula said that Mr.Gold has a way. He is going to use the author to do it." Hook explained. "That's insane. If that is their plan we can stop worrying. It's ridiculous. Author or no Author I'm not going dark." Emma said folding her arms. "I'm not saying that you can be taken by darkness, but you can't underestimate it." Azelea said, trying to be careful with her words. "Darkness creeps up on you...it can be very tricky. No one is safe from it." The teen said. "Hey. No one - not Rumple or some author - gets to decide who I am." Emma said pulling Killan close to her, trying to ease his worries. The two hugged while everyone let the news sink in. Mary and David whispered to each other while Henry updated Azelea on August condition. Maru suddenly stormed out of the apartment. David cleared his throat as he went to follow her. "She will be fine." He said before leaving as well. "How was he? The wooden man child?" Hook asked as Azelea got a few things together to take with her to the Sister of Saints home. "Not great. But he will be fine. He has made it through worse." Emma said. "August is strong. And with the Blue fairy and I working together I'm sure we will have him fixed right up." Azelea said before leaving as well. As Azelea left the apartment she let herself drop the act and she started lightly jogging to the Sister Saints. If his condition was really that bad things were worse than she expected, but with everything going on at the moment the last thing Emma needed was another reason to worry.
