Azelea sat in a wooden chair in front of a fireplace. Her hands were tied behind her back to the chair, her ankles were ties to the chair legs, and her mouth was covered with tape. But she could think of worse situations she had found herself in...maybe. Mr.Gold and the Author were putting on their jackets getting ready to leave for Cruella's funeral. "I'll miss her. Furs and all, I'll miss her." the Author said pulling a napkin out of his pocket. Azelea watched as he ran his finger over it, she saw the lip shaped lipstick on the napkin and reckoned it had been from Cruella at some point. It seemed that the Author had loved the woman, though the teen couldn't see how anyone could love someone as evil as Cruella. "She was good to me - in her way. Made me who I am." He said. "Well that's unfortunate," Azelea thought as Mr. Gold grabbed his cane. "Well someone had to die at the hands of the savior." He said. "Did they?" The Author asked. "We won't have what we need to rewrite the book, to secure our happy endings, until Ms. Swan has completed her journey...and until our little flower girl tells us where she has hidden the magicians hat." He said turning to me. I felt a chill run up my spine as he locked eyes with me. "But we can get her to tell us that answer later. Cruella did more than I had hoped for, she got Emma to take the first step down a dark path. And she got me the only person who knows the location of the magicians hat." Mr.Gold walked over to Azelea and grabbed her uniform jacket, pulling her close to him. The teen tried to keep a straight face as the man threatened her. "I know you have hidden that magicians hat very well, and that you wouldn't tell anyone else where it is hidden. But don't worry. I have my ways of making everyone talk." The Author stepped up behind him. "But she has her flower crown. You can't torture the answer out of her with it protecting her." He said, confused about Mr.Golds plan. "Trust me. Physical abuse is not my angle here. I have much more affective ways to make her talk. But for now we pay our respects to Cruella...and we make sure that Emma stays on the dark path that she is now on." He let Azelea got and she tried to scream past the tape across her mouth as the two left her in the cabin by herself.
-Emma Pov-
"I'm going after Mr.Gold. He made this happen, he has to answer for it. And we can be sure that he is the one who took Azelea out of Cruella's trunk." I said as Hook, Regina, Mary, David, and Henry sat in front of me at a table in Granny's. "You need to be careful Emma, you can't go off half-cocked." Hook said. "He's right. Mr.Gold wants you angry." David said looking a little more stressed than anyone else. He took a lot of responsibility for Azelea's safety. "Yea, well I am angry. It doesn't mean he is going to get whatever he is after. Do I wish I could change what I did to Cruella? Yes. But that's regret, not darkness. Right now we need to focus on one thing, and that's making sure Mr.Gold and the Author don't cause any more damage and get Azelea back from them." I said. The bell to Granny's diner rang and someone walked in. "I think I can help with that." Everyone turned to see who was talking to them to see Maleficent. "It appears we have a common foe - Rumplestilskin." She said walking up to me. Everyone seemed to be on guard as we stood face to face. "But he resurrected you." David said. "To help himself, not me. Cruella's death and the flower enchantress kidnapping only confirms that." Maleficent said folding her arms. "Oh, so now you want to turn on him before he turns on you." Hook said. "I knew that Gold couldn't keep the dragon on her leash for long." Regina said with a smirk. "What do you want?" Mary asked, not amused. "Nothing from you two." The woman said glaring at Mary and David. "But your daughters I hear have a talent for finding people. Sense the flower enchantress isn't available I turn to you." Maleficent said looking me right in the eyes. "Yea I do, but not with locator spells like my sister. I use modern techniques." I said. "Who do you want found?" I asked. "My daughter." Mary gasped in shock. "She's alive." David said. "Yes, she survived the trip to this land that you sent her on. You want to prevent Rumple from achieving whatever he wants. What better way then leaving this town and helping me?" The woman asked me. "I'm not running from Gold, especially when he had Azelea." I said. "It's not running from him, it's hindering him." Maleficent said. "What do you know about her?" I asked. "She was banished to a place called Minnesota. Where a couple adopted her...they called her Lilith." I gasped. "No way." I said before running out of the Diner. It couldn't be Lily...could it?
