Thanks to everyone who's been reading! Dedicated to LoveenaJay! <-- Thanks for the amazing cover on the side :) So I know I've been switching POVs a lot lately and Jade isn't as spunky as she used to be (she's growing up), but I hope you like this anyway.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 17
Will's POV
I woke up the next morning feeling unusually happy. I looked at Jade peacefully sleeping in my arms and knew why. The only problem with this picture was that one of her hands was in Cameron’s hair and the other over his stomach. I gently took her hands off that lame jerk. She rolled over at my touch, cuddling into me. That’s more like it, I smirked to myself. I pulled down her dress which had ridden up over the course of the night. She was something else really.
Last night she had kissed Cameron and then fallen into my arms. She had whispered my name and then said, “Let’s dance.” She danced around me, swaying her hips seductively and then onto to Cameron who twirled her. It irked me that she liked him. She probably didn’t even realize that she liked him.
That lame jerk. He didn’t even deserve her attention, but then again, neither did I- not that I would ever admit that. Oh well, it’s not like we’re going to have our on-off thing forever. We’re young and we just want to have fun, I thought to myself, letting my eyes wander across the room.
A brown haired boy and V… Va... Vu... black- haired girl were horizontally intertwined on the bed where I was also lying, Cleo and some dirty blonde dude had fallen asleep on the couch and Ashley was passed out on the floor where we’d left her. I looked back at Jade and stroked her hair. She slowly opened her eyes and smiled up at me.
“Morning gorgeous,” I smiled at her.
“Morning Will. Were you watching me sleep?” she teased.
“Me?” I asked, bringing my hand up in feigned shock. “Yes.”
“Creep,” she joked.
“You know I liked you a lot better when you were asleep.”
“Well, if I was asleep I wouldn’t be able to do this,” she smirked pulling me down into a kiss.
“No, I still liked you better when you were asleep,” I joked, which earned me a punch in the arm. “I’m joking,” I laughed.
She sat up and quickly lay back down in pain. “Hangover,” she winced.
“Hey, I’ve got a cure for that. I’ll be right back,” I said, giving her a kiss on the forehead, before leaving the guest wing. The mansion reminded me too much of my own cold home. The marble floors, the empty rooms, the lack of homeliness. The mansion was still completely trashed from the party the night before and walking through the rooms was like walking down memory lane of last night.
When I got to the living room I remembered brunette or Mads as she’d said her name was. We’d talked. Well, I talked and she flirted. It really should be a crime to be as desirable as I am. I made my way to the kitchen to make Jade a bacon sandwich- a cure that always helped me get over hangovers, but I was disappointed to find that there was no bacon to be found.
