Hello. Rewriting this so please let me know what you think?
----
I slumped down at my seat the next day.
I don't know how I looked exactly but I know that I haven't given shit about it. I haven't combed my hair; I just put it into a ponytail even though it's still wet.
I didn't even eat. Wala akong gana.
"Anong nangyari sayo?"
Napalingon ako sa mga lumapit. A guy and a girl sat on the armchairs on either side of me. I gave them a half-hearted smile.
"Hi Mikki, Hi Amar." I tell them, sitting up straighter.
They're both my closest here at school. Aside from Jake of course. They're my clique, you know, yung talagang barkada. My clique was really these two.
Michelle Kianna Santos was more widely known as 'Mikki' around here. She was a daughter of Tito Michael, Dad's right hand man. She's sweet, but most of the time, pranka. Wala siyang patawad sa mga gusto niyag sabihin, but she's a really good friend.
Then there's Amar Ruiz. He just got close with us, only because he's the most immune to Mikki's frank nature, and he's kind of the same thing kaya naman nagkakasundo sila. He's really open, and fun to be with.
He only transferred by 9th grade but it's like we've all been friends for so long. Amar was one of the persons who can get you to smile if you need cheering up.
They're my closest friends and if you really think that they have hots for each other...
"HOY ANONG AMAR! MARA! MARA!" The second one told me.
I shrugged. Mara daw e. "Oo na, Mara." I smiled. "Bakla ka. Ikaw dapat ang alarm clock ko."
"Parang kulang ka nga talaga sa tulog e." He says. "Nagpuyat ka ba kagabi?"I didn't really stay up late on purpose, but I couldn't sleep. I was wide awake hanggang 3 AM, and I don't know why. I couldn't catch a wink.
I smiled at both of them. "Yeah, nag movie marathon nga ako."
It wasn't a complete lie, I had the TV on, tuned in to Star Movies but I wasn't really watching. It was just on so it can lull me to sleep maybe but it wasn't even effective.
"Susme, ang init." Reklamo ni Amar, nagpapapaypay. "Ang hot ko kasi."
"Onga, kung di ka lang baliko, ang daming babaeng may gusto sayo." Mikki says at him. "But you had to be gay, right?"
"Nyeta lang." Amar says at her. "Mainit ang panahon, gaga!"
"Makamura, umagang umaga!" I scolded them both. Madalas ko silang pinagsasabihan but to no avail.
"Eh bakit kasi hindi mo ipaopen ang AC?" tanong ko dito.
"May point. Wait." The other one says saka lumabas ng classroom. He comes back with the janitor, who opened the AC. It buzzed over the quiet classroom, filling up the room with slightly clammy air.
It wasn't new. We were usually the earliest ones. Mikki was naturally early since she comes with the school service, while Amar only walks from their house to school. I was always early, all those being a role model shizz.
"So something tells me na hindi lang movie marathon ang inatupag mo sa buong magdamag."
I smiled at her. "No, it's not."
"Nakipagpuyatan ka nanaman kay Kaps?" Tanong ni Amar sa akin. "Jusko te, Alam kong sabik kayong dalawa sa isa't isa. Hindi kailangang isakripisyo ang tulog."
