Gabriel pov:
The decorations were done. The six humans were gone and were ordered to be under strict protection. Yuki seemed to not care about her lost friend, which I was glad for. I hated when my mate was sad.
She seemed sick though. She did not eat much, not shovling food inside her, only eating a few small bites. When I tried to ask about it, she simply told me she was fine. And she used her snappy tone.
She worried me, and that made me more protective. Even as we lay together in her bed, the place we have been sleeping in because I can't stand the nights alone in my room, I still am worried.
She felt warm, warmer than normal. Her face was a little pale. Green lined her lips and I knew she did not feel well. I left the blanket off of her, careful not to touch her very hard. She could start puking any moment.
"Sleep my queen," I whispered. She moaned a reply, not moving as she tried to calm her swirling stomach. It was still morning too. Someone knocked on the door, the smell of soup drifting to my nose.
She was running to the bathroom, the door left open as she crouched in front of the toilet. I ran over to her, holding her hair up as she retched. Mary was standing the doorway, no soup in her hands.
She helped wash Yuki's face and helped her back to the bed. When she layed on top of the sheets, mary grabbed the soup again.
"Want some soup, my queen?"mary asked. Yuki inhaled through her nose, suddenly running back to the bathroom. I, of course, ran after her, once again holding her hair. I kissed her ear.
"You okay baby?" I asked. She nodded, flushing the toilet with a sigh, wiping her mouth on her sleeve. I looked back at mary, who had a large smile on her face. I narrowed my eyes at her. She quickly held her hands up.
"I have a theory. But lets get miss yuki to the bed before I say anything." She whispered quickly. I agreed, but this time I picked yuki up into my arms, holding her close to me.
I layed her on the bed, then glared at mary. "Okay, tell me your theory." I muttered. I was still not happy at her for smiling while yuki was puking up her guts.
"Umm, I think she is pregnant."
It felt like my heart skipped a beat. My legs wiggled a little, forcing me to sit on the bed. Yuki's hand touched mine, my eyes drawn to the huge smile on her face.
I hugged her, watching the tears of happiness slide down her face. She was so happy, so so happy. I gently kissed her lips, a smile of my own on my face. Mary giggled happily, suddenly blabbing.
"Oh my, we need a nursery, a place for check ups. We also need a house wife and baby clothes and supplies. We could probably move you two in together and give the baby this room of course we will redecorate..." she sighed. Yuki laughed, nodding a little.
"Yeah, that would be nice." She said with a large smile. She turned back to me. "How many more days until the ball?" She asked. I blinked.
"Oh, uh 15 days from now." I quickly responded, squeezing her hand in mine. She nodded thoughtfully.
"And when do guests start arriving?" She added. I scratched my chin. "James should be arriving any day with his humans. Uh, king Ethari should be here in about 6 days. Madison, the queen of dusk will come whenever she feels. I am not closely allied with her, its more like we are neutral. I dont think king sakiki, of the day court, will come, we are not friends. And I have no idea about marcy, the queen of dawn. We have not spoken in a while." I explained. She nodded thoughtfully.
"Okay, so we prepare rooms for many humans and one fit for a king. Do we have any more kingly rooms?" She asked. I nodded, holding up 4 fingers.
"We have 6 over all, kane is using one, you are using one, but this is your room now so it is not a 'kingly room' anymore. The humans left so there are 4 left."
"Will their advisors be accommodating them?" She asked. I shook my head in response.
"No, they stay and watch the kingdom."
"Does anyone go with them?" She asked. I nodded.
"The king and queen, their children, if they have any, and a guard captain and sometimes a healer." I explained. She smiled.
"Oh! That makes sense." Sighed, sinking into her pillows. She glanced at mary. "I am craving peeled apples," she said and mary rushed from the room. She turned to me, a small smile on her face.
"Whats up?" I asked, kissing her knuckles. She sighed, pulling herself closer to me and cuddling into my lap.
"If I am pregnant, we should mark each other now." She said. I blinked, but nodded, moving to better lay on the bed. Her head moved close to my neck, her fingers digging into my shoulders.
Her sharp teeth were pressed against against my skin. Her wings burst from her back as her beast side came forward. Pleasure swam through me when she bite down, a soft moan escaping my lips. She pulled back, smiling at me.
I then bit into her neck, horns growing quickly from my head. I was a stag. She shivered underneath me. Exhaling with pleasure. When I pulled away she hugged me.
"I love you, gabriel," she whispered.
"I love you too."
