Apollo stood in front of me, picking at the golden strings holding his top together. I gently moved his hands down, a sigh leaving my lips. He was anything but happy about getting dressed in formal wear. Artemis, on the other hand, was quite happy as she ran around in the little pink dress she had chosen herself.

"Apollo, quit messing with it, would you rather wear a dress like your sister?" I asked him, running my fingers through his chocolate hair to fix it once again. The magic closet could only hold the hair together so long before Apollo messed it up. Then, he surprised me, nodding his head.

"Yeah, I wanna wear a dress!" He told me, staring innocently into my eyes. I blinked, but I didn't have any qualms about him wearing a cute little dress.

"Okay, go open the closet and imagine what you want to wear, okay?" I directed, waving a hand towards the closet. He smiled, nodding his head in excitement, scrambling to the closet and pulling the door open. A cute little purple dress fell over his small body, a few braids added to his chocolate hair.

"Aw, you look adorable!" Autumn exclaimed from my shoulder. She wanted to do my hair, but it was hard since she was so small now. Apollo squeaked happily, running at the bed full force, jumping up and pulling himself next to me, using the sheets as a grip. I knew he didn't want help.

"Apollo, we should have matched!" Artemis complained as she jumped up and down on the mattress before tackling her brother in a hug. I couldn't help but laugh at their excitement as they play wrestled with each other.

"Don't mess up your hair, or tear your dresses," I scolded, letting them have their fun for a little while before I pulled them apart, shaking my head. "Are you guys going to dance together at the party? Or maybe find some of the little humans to dance with?" I questioned, gracefully standing up from the bed.

"I don't want to dance with humans, I wanna dance with you, Momma!" Apollo said softly, his bottom lip poking out in a pout. I couldn't help my smile, lifting him up off the bed.

"What about Dad, huh?" I teased, Autumn giggling from my shoulder. Apollo blushed, embarrassed at the fact he had forgotten his father would be at the party too.

"Oh, I will dance with daddy too!" He said quickly, nodding to confirm his rushed words. Artemis couldn't help but giggle too as she managed to slide off the bed, stumbling slightly as she landed.

"I will dance with you guys, and the humans!" She twirled around but tripped slightly on the carpet. I quickly reached out, snagging her arm and pulling her upright before she could land on her face.

"But don't fall on the dance floor," I told her, picking her up as well, placing each toddler on my hip. They were so cute, Autumn jumping up onto my head and settling in my blond hair. "Alright, let's go, I am sure your father would be happy to see you," I smiled, planting a kiss on each of their foreheads.

"But we all know he'll be most excited to see you~" Autumn teased, her hands hanging down, her head appearing in front of my eyes, upside down. It was slightly dizzying, but I could see the smirk on her lips. I sighed at her teasing, shaking my head slightly, causing her to fall onto Artemis.

"Mommy and Daddy are so cute together!" Artemis giggled, holding Autumn up in her hands. The small faery giggled in agreement as I walked down the hallway towards the ballroom. I greeted the two faeries holding the ballroom doors open with a smile.

"Thank you," I said smoothly. The two of them gave me smiles in return, dipping their head to me. I padded forward, my gaze slowly sweeping around the faeries and the few humans that actually decided to come to the party.

"Oi, Yuki, over here!" Nichol said, waving her free hand, her little girl in her arms with an adorable white dress on. I padded over, setting the twins onto the floor. Artemis was happy to play with Lily, Nichol's child, but Apollo's small fingers were still wrapped around my dress, his fearful round eyes not liking the number of people in the room. I lifted him up into my arms again.

I knew he was shy, and I didn't want him to fear the faeries of the castle or the humans. I bit the inside of my cheek, placing him on my hip once again, letting him take comfort in my arms and my warmth.

"Shy one, isn't he?" Nichol asked as he buried his head into my neck. "He looks adorable in the dress though, didn't like the suit?" She asked, leaning into her hip. I smiled, nodding my head.

"Yeah, but he can dress however he wants to," I shrugged, narrowing my eyes as I searched for judging eyes. Like I would let them criticize my child. Nichol gave her nod in agreement, then the music stopped. I turned my head to the balcony, a smile slipping onto my lips as I saw Gabriel step onto it, his eyes meeting mine. He was always so breathtaking.

"We all know why we are hosting this party right? The Dawn court attacked us just a few days ago. We easily defeated their forces with the help of our queen, who killed Marcy herself!" Gabriel called, the crowd erupting into cheers, some of the humans joining in the victorious call. "So, let's celebrate and hold up our glasses to our queen!"

I lifted my glass a faery passing by had given me. I was happy to toast for myself, but it was mostly to our victory. Glasses linked together, Nichol's clinking against mine before we downed the fae wine. Gabriel padded gracefully down the steps, finally reaching me. He wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me close.

He pressed a soft kiss to my lips, careful not to squish little Apollo. He smiled, kissing the forehead of the little boy.

"Cute little dress you have on, Apollo," my mate said with a smile, glancing around, his arm still around me. "Is little Artemis dancing with Lily?" he asked, spotting the pair of girls. They were twirling around in circles, but I wouldn't exactly call it dancing.

"Yes," I replied, leaning into him after setting little Apollo on the ground. "Apollo, don't be a shy little one, go dance with your sister," I told him, giving him a quick hug. He sighed, but nodded in acceptance, navigating through the crowd until he was beside his sister. The taller female easily grabbed his hand, pulling him into a circle with Lily, the three of them prancing around.

"Adorable," Gabriel said, placing his hands on my hips, my hands on his shoulders. "Shall we dance?" He asked. I nodded, letting him lead, my steps following his smoothly.
