The General's POV:
(Written by @Kodbro)

I can't believe it! Jim Lake had actually escaped. And with the help of his father and this other Shadow Dancer girl that seemed to mean a lot to him from what I could figure out during their attempted escape.

I say attempted because right now I had Jim's father and the girl with me in the interrogation room. Originally my plan was to get the Trollhunter to kill for us in our wars, but now that I had lost him, why not ask the same of his father?

"So," I said once they were both seated and I was in charge again. "Trolls are real, so is magic and you are what exactly? Some kind of half- troll thing-"

"Changeling," he said.

The girl next to him stayed silent, no adoubt waiting for the right time to speak. I let her ponder.

"Okay. Then if I'm right you came here to save your son? What if I I told you that I have a proposition to make?" I asked him.

"To have us kill for you? Just as you asked of my son?" He spat.

"Or maybe you could help us," the girl suggested. My eyes whipped towards her. "You are the military are you not? Then help us put a stop to this witch before she can destroy not just Arcadia, but the world."

And while yes, it was our job to help, Arcadia was not our problem. New Jersey was. "As much as trolls and magic exist," I said. "When a few minutes ago I wouldn't have believed in it, give me one good reason why we should help you. After all, you're the ones in armour and owns that Shadow Staff thingy and sword that looks like it was forged from Daylight itself-"

"You couldn't be more accurate," James said.

"Because she has put up armies all over America," the girl explained. "And soon it will be the world. Back in Arcadia, our friends are trying to stop her right now. But if you can put forces up where she has, we just all might stand a chance to live another day."

Okay. So maybe she had a point. "You help us and we will help you. None of us asked for this life, it chose us. But Jim is the Trollhunter which means he is the only one who can stop Morgouse," she resumed.

"And your name?" I asked her.

"Claire Nûnez," she said. I looked to the man in blue armour next to her.

"James Lake," he said.

I heaved the a big sigh. "I guess I will help you. Only on the condition that when this archaic war is over, we will just be allies. And we will both go back to our own lives," I said.

"You can try," James said. "Good luck trying to do that though because once you get sacked in, there's no guarantee of getting back out."

I hoped he was lying.

Jim's POV:

Claire's portal ended up taking me back to the bridge instead of the Janus Order where I soon got a lingering presence that I wasn't alone. So summoning Midnight, I turned around in a flash only to have another blade strike against mine.

A dagger with a green hilt. "Easy Hunter," the voice of Angor Rott said.

I looked up from our blades to see his black eyes stare into mine. Not out of hate this time, but out of some kind of friendliness that he seemed to display in his eyes.

"Angor," I said, dropping my sword. "The military. They have Claire and my father. Everyone else is down in the Janus Order fighting Morgouse-"

"I know. Don't worry, Hunter. I've come here to help you," he said.

"And so have I little Gynt," another voice said. One that could only belong to Numora as she came out into the shadows where I could see her.

I smiled. Knowing that they had my backs just as I had theirs. Being night time, I was also safe since ever since levelling up (as Toby called it), I haven't been able to wear the Daylight stones anymore.

"Then what are we waiting for?" I said.
