The Best and the Hardest Thing

Chapter 8

"So are you gonna leave me?" i asked between tears.

"baby I love you, I want to be here for both of you no matter what, do you understand?" he says tilting my chin up to face him before he kisses me.

"I love you too, how will we tell our parents and I need to go to the doctors and..."

"babe calm down, we can sort that later but for now, I've booked you in for an appointment after school at 4 today" he silents me

"I really do love you, you know?" smiling through my tears.

"I know" he grinned at me before touching my flat stomach "and I love our little prince or princess even more" he added before turning the engine on and heading back to school just to hear the bell.

"Uh oh, jump out and head to English, I'll meet you there..tell mrs. Lowry I was talking to coach" he said as he reached over to open my door.

"okay will do" I replied jumping out the car.

I got in just in time and told mrs Lowry that case was talking to coach.

"psst Dana" I heard Erica whispering from behind me

"yeah?" I answered

"practice is cancelled today" she informed me, making me realise that my doctors appointment was at starting time.

Just then casey strides into the classroom greeting his team members over to where I saved a seat from him. He slumps down and pecks my cheek before getting his notepad out.

I can feel eyes glaring at me, as I turn around I see jade, Casey's ex, I smile at her trying to be friendly then turning back to casey

"nice bag" she says now standing next to me looking at my Louis V bag by my foot.

"thanks, you too" i say looking at her pauls boutique satchel.

Casey chose this moment to place a long lingering kiss on my lips.

"what was that for?" I asked giggling

"for being who you are" he whispers

The day rushes by and casey goes home early since all his lessons are over. We decide to meet up at his after I had finished some things at school.

When I get to his house the gate to his courtyard is open so I follow the yellow brick road to his driveway where he's talking to his 4 year old sister Lucy and his mom.

I jump out and go and greet them. Casey tells them we are going out for a movie after we drop Lily off at home.

I give casey the gear and he begins to set up her car seat.

"you know it won't be long, till your doing that for our child" I say when he's finished. He pulls me by the waist and whispers "I can't wait" before hugging me and taking the keys from my purse where he sees the paper bag.

"what's in there?" he asks

"oh the tests cant believe I forgot to show you" I take it out handing him one by one, he's so happy and when he hands them back I look at each one taking it all in..

"oh crap" I yell just as he's about to reverse

I count the sticks.

"there's only five sticks here, I bought six case" I say raging with anger going through my purse for the missing stick..
