"babe as much as i love to watch you sleep you need wake up, the nurses are here to just check jack one last time" casey whispered in my ear.
I opened one eye and let out a groan before stretching my legs.
"Woah babe, lucky were in a hospital cos youre about to take my eyeball out with them elbows of yours" casey chuckled as I hit him playfully as I got up.
"hey you, how you feeling?" I asked Jack
"just got a headache but I'll tell you one thing if this is how a hangover feels like then I'm never getting drunk" jack smiled
"happy to know your alright". I said
Once we signed the discharge forms, casey had gone round to get the car so jack wouldn't have to walk to far as he needed a lot of rest.
Once we got home, lily came running down the stairs closely followed by Lucy.
"Merry Christmas!" they both yelled at the top of their voices.
"girls quit with the racket, jack must have such a headache without you two screeching at the top of your voices, go help Carlie set the table in the dinning room please" collete instructed and the girls ran into the dining room.
I had completely forgotten it was christmas with all that had happened in the last 24hours.
"I've set up the guest room downstairs for you jack, since I thought you'd prefer not to walk up and down the stairs" collete explained
"thanks" jack smiled as we led him to his bed and tucked him in, before passing him some water, the remote and chips. Just so he could entertain himself for the duration of the time that dinner would take to cook.
"wait" jack called before casey and i had left the room
"what's up mate?" casey asked
"you know I would take that beating ten times over for the both of you and my neice or nephew" he responded
"your the best little brother ever and you'll be the best uncle to your um.." I began
"you can tell him, but as long as he promises not to tell a soul just yet" casey urged me as he pulled me into his arms.
"we are having a ------" I blurted loudly enough just so only we could hear it.
