"Dana, Casey. Thank you for getting here. I understand its late but I think we might have a lead" detective Richardson said after greeting us at the entrance.
"Thank god" I cried turning to hug Casey.
"If you would follow me please"
We followed him through a staff door where we could see through the glass into the interrogation rooms. We got into room
112b before the detective warned us if we wanted to see the lead suspect.
We nodded our heads taking a deep breath before we came face to face with the one person I never thought I'd see again.

Rage pulsed through my body and I turned to face Casey burrowing my head into his arms.
"It's 4:37am, I'm sitting here with suspect 76480 a mr Daniel Johnston. Speaking is detective Huxley joined by detective Richardson"said the female detective into a microphone as our detective took a seat next to her.
"Do you require an attorney mr Johnston?"
"No, you're wasting my damn time" he replied
"Where were you on the afternoon of Tuesday 12th March 2014 at 4pm?"
"I was with my woman"he replied
"So you weren't at a local crèche?" Detective Huxley asked.
My father looked at them and smirked.
Oh he had a damn nerve
"So you think I took that whores kid" he asked
"Please refrain from using such language sir" detective Richardson intervened
"I didn't ok, can I go" he said
"Is your name really Daniel Johnston?" Detective Richardson asked
"Yes"
"Are you sure you aren't Mathew Wilson, a man previously charged with domestic abuse, false imprisonment, harassment and GBH but escaped imprisonment"
"Yes, I'm sure" he said shifting around in his seat.
"Are you 100% sure, on tape. You are not Mathew Wilson"
"I swear"
"Do you or do you not own a 1990 grey Buick registered under the name Mathew Wilson?"
"I don't"
"Introducing evidence A237" detective Huxley spoke up.
A picture of him in the car was placed on the table.
"I burrowed it" he quickly replied
"Introducing evidence B19"
A wallet was placed on the table with a picture of him taken 3years previous.
"I don't know who that belongs to" he stood up
"So should we add theft to your list?"
" someone must have put it there" he shouted.

A CCTV footage was played of a man wearing a green hoodie pushing Jayden's stroller to a grey Buick in the work parking lot at Casey's work.
"Is that you Matthew?"
"No it bloody isn't I don't have a green hoodie"
"Evidence C528"
A green hoody was placed on the table in a detective bag.
"So this isn't yours?"
"No" he replied looking the female detective in the eyes.
"So no traces of your DNA should come back to us after testing, isn't that so?"
"Can I go"
"We aren't fools Matthew. You're under arrest for domestic abuse, false imprisonment, harassment, GBH, breaking and entering, causing damage to a property, kidnaping, lying to law enforcement officers and using a fake identity"
"You don't understand, I need to go" he shouted aggressively as they put on the cuffs"
"Wait, I'll tell you everything if you make a deal with me about my sentence"
"Everything?" Detective Richardson asked.
"Everything "
