"she has cancer?" Erica asked shocked.

"why didn't she say?" Nathalie questioned

"How is she?" my mother asked

We were sitting in my mother's living room, I was feeding Jayden as I told my friends the story of what happened the previous day.

"Guys, I don't know, Casey just only told me after I called her a stupid hoe...I feel so guilty" I answered.

"so, how are you and Casey?" my mother asked.

"He kissed me last night, but he's acting as if it had never happened" I shrugged

"Honey, look...ive never seen a guy so hopelessly devoted to you more than Casey, It must be hard for him you know? Stress from work might be catching up with him and anyway, stop hurting yourself, it is your birthday tomorrow" my mother said as she rubbed my back.

In the midst of all the crazy things that had been happening I completely forgot my eighteenth birthday was coming up.

"so what are you doing for your birthday tomorrow?" Erica spoke up

"umm...to be honest I forgot. But I think a late breakfast and a couple of movies with my little man will do me good" I spoke up rocking jayden, who was know smiling into my eyes.

*peek a boo, incoming text, peek a boo answer ME!!*

Sang the ringtone of Erica's blackberry.

"Seriously, Erica, you need a new ringtone you've had the same one since junior high" Nathalie spoke up.

I burped Jayden and placed him in his Car seat.

"Sorry guys, I have to go. Jayden needs a bath and a nap and I need to get some rest"

I stood up and slung Jaydens baby bag over my shoulder and held him gently against my chest, for a four month old baby he was beginning to get heavy. I hugged my friends individually so i wouldnt crush Jayden. grabbing my purse from the counter i walked out of my mothers house and to my waiting car outside. I knew before i went home i'd have to see one person.

i rang the doorbell in the hope they would answer the door.

"Dana?"

"Hi, is this a bad time?" i asked clutching to Jaydens car seat.

"No, come in" Chris moved out of the way letting me enter and shutting the door behind me as i placed Jaydens seat in the hallway.

"Something has happened and i really need your help" i said choking trying to keep down my tears. Chris looked at me worriedly.

"Danielle has cancer" i croaked letting the tears run. Chris was in uttershock but still managed to pull me close and hug me as i cried into his shirt.

I told him everything that had happened in the last 48 hours and he didnt judge me, he just listened intently.

"We need to go see her" Chris said after i finished speaking

"Yeah, your right" i agreed wiping the tears away.

We got in my car, i set Jayden in and he was blissfully asleep, with his little fist on his mouth. I started the car and we headed to Danielle's.

We stood waiting for her to open the door as Chris held an alert Jayden on his chest and i held his baby bag.

"oh hi, dana...chris" she said nodding her head at him.

"look, im here to apologise Casey told me everything, and im so so sorry-i was angry and jumped to conclusions" i started

"Come in" she said opening the door wider for us to enter.
