Jayden Nathaniel Butler
Born: 20th May 2012 weighing 7lb 03oz at 9:53pm
It had been almost ten weeks since we bought Jayden home. we had began to settle into a routine since Casey returned to work two weeks fter his birth. As much as i missed him when he was gone, i knew he was working hard to get us what we needed to get by without us having to rely on our parents.
Routine
4:00am- Feed Jayden and Casey Burps him
5:30am- change Jayden's diaper
7:15am- feed jayden and wake casey for work
7:35am- Casey changes Jayden and plays with him as i make breakfast for the both of us.
8:00am- Casey leaves for work.
"Say bye to daddy jay" i say to jayden waving his little hand. "he is so cute, anyway have a good day honey; love you" i say before kissing him tenderly.
"bye babe, hopefully i wont be back to late" he mutters returning my kiss then kissing jaydens dark curly hair. Casey walks slowly to his truck and waves goodbye before starting the engine and reversing out of the driveway. I lock the door and go back into the house. I place Jayden in his bassinet in the front room whilst i head to the kitchen to wash the breakfast dishes. Once I'd finished, i used the floor polisher to clean the pine floor in the hallway. by the time i was half way through Jayden began to cry. i picked him up and sat on the sofa and breastfed him, he ate greedily taking big gulps. i turned on the tv and began to catch up on the kardashians. soon enough i he had finished eating, so i burped him before going up the stairs to his nursery and changing his diaper before changing him into white denim shorts and and an orange ralph lauren polo that my mother had bought him the previous week. He looked so cute. I had a quick shower and did my make up in double quicktime as Jayden sat in his rocker happily entertained by his penguin teddybear, that rocked with him.

"come on jay jay, calm down for mommy" i whispered softly into the ear of my ten week old son who had no idea that when in a library you should keep noise to a minimum. i was shot daggers from all directions by businessmen, library workers and even elderly residents who wanted to read their newspapers in peace. i took out some water i packed for him and gave him his bottle. suddenly he became silent and gulped the water. As soon as he quitened down, i put him back in his stroller and strapped him in. i pushed the stroller softly in the hope he'd fall asleep. As i scanned the shelves for the book i'd need for uni in a years' time.
"oops sorry" a girl with blonde hair smacked into me as she headed out the door. she looked around my age and i thought i recognized her.
"Jade?" i asked the girl
" Oh, hey Dana" she smiled remembering me
" great to see you, how've you been jade?"
"Im great going to UCLA, met an amazing guy and im really happy, you?"
"got married had a baby, going to uni next year after this one is grows up" i say chuckling.
"hows casey?" she asked playing with Jayden's hand.
"he's great, he got a job and we are all so happy" i smiled.
"thats wonderful, look- do you want to meet up for dinner or something?"
"yeah, sure how about mine on saturday?"
"yep, thats wonderful"
we exchanged numbers and addresses and walked to the car park. i was hungry so went to the Mcdonalds drive thru and got a chicken caesar salad, fries and some mountain dew. I drove home and ate greedily in the kitchen as Jayden slept in his car seat. As a mom, you seem to forget to feed yourself when you have a child and when you do eat, you need to eat quickly so you arent interupted by your child needing to be fed or changed. Once i'd finished, i cleared up and woke Jayden for his afternoon feeding and a mommy, baby playtime.
