The Best and the Hardest Thing

Chapter 6

"Jack!" I shouted storming back into the house beginning to be rather impatient.

"chill chill sis" he said pulling a face at me before walking out the door.

"brat" I muttered under my breath.

We all got in the car and jack was in the passenger seat next to me and lily behind him where I had just strapped her in. She was still thinking so I reached back pulled her backpack and gave her, her favourite caterpillar book to read as her daycare was closest to my school.

I dropped jack off, he didn't hesitate to jump out and walk away not even regarding my presence. Lily was quietly muttering to herself so I checked my phone.

That really made me smile. I pulled out then took lily to school. I unstrapped her from her car seat and uninstalled it to put in the trunk as I might have to drop off the girls later after cheer practice.

Lily took my hand and held her caterpillar book in the other whilst I carried my purse and her day bag. I kissed her chubby cheeks and let her run wild to cooper as I gave the Helpers her bag and ran to my car.

When I got to school I instantly saw casey by his truck. I parked the car, grabbed my purse and books and walked over to him.

"morning beautiful" he said before leaning in and kissing me, his mouth tasted of mint with a hint of syrup and cream.

"let me guess, you had- pancakes with syrup and whipped cream?" i asked knowing how good his moms pancakes were.

He nodded and gave me a peck on the lips before taking my books on one hand and my hand in the other.

I knew I had to buy a test at break at the drugstore and tell him by lunch..just incase he dumped me I knew id have to savour every moment until then.

We walked to my locker were I put the books he was carrying inside and grabbed my calculus textbooks. This was our senior year, we sat our SATs and we only had a month of school left until I could burn the stupid books.

I looked at case who was looking into my eyes with concern.

"what's up babe?" I asked

"just about to ask you the same thing" he responded

I told him I was excited to graduate and left it at that. He kissed me again, with so much passion and love, I could have sworn a tear nearly ran down my face. " i love you" we both whispered to each other. The bell rang and he grabbed hold of my hand as we ran down the hall to homeroom where mr.Calvin was about to shut the door.

"Dana Wilson and Casey Butler thanks for joining us" he said giving us a stern look which made me giggle.

We took our seats and he did the register.
