"Daniel... Am I just in the way of you being in a better relationship?"
"Absolutely not!" Daniel put his hands on my shoulders. "Thanks.. but-" I was interrupted by someone behind me.
"Hey... sorry to interrupt, but are you the one who fought Maria earlier?" A familiar voice asked.
"What's it to you, Gene?" I laughed. "Ah. Well I heard some of the things she said, and I know girls are pretty emotional..." I stopped him.
"Who said girls are emotional?" I questioned. "Literally every guy ever." He chuckled. (A/N | Are girls actually emotional? I wouldn't know :T)
"I guess..." I mumbled. "If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here for you." He smiled.
"That's really nice of you, Gene. Thank you so much..." I weakly smiled. "Anytime, N/N." He winked.
"Gene! Come on!" Sasha called. "Right! See ya later!" He waves.
"Y/N... I don't want you talking to him..." Daniel mumbled. "Why?" I questioned.
"It's cause he's always flirting with you!!" He yelled. "What...?" I was so stunned by what he had said. I mean, I know Gene likes me, but still.
"He's always flirting with you!" He repeated. "Well I'm sorry I can't control what he does!" I snapped.
"Maybe if you just talked to him about it, you could- Wait... you like him flirting with you! Don't you!?" He asked.
"W-What!? No! I- You know what? I'm not going to argue anymore... if you think I like him flirting, then maybe I'll go date Gene!" I threatened.
"Fine!" He yelled as I walked out. "Alright. I guess it's over!" I growled and slammed the classroom door behind me.
I walked to where Gene, Sasha, and Zenix usually hang out.
"Hey Y/N-" Before Gene should say anything else, I kissed him just to spite Daniel.
"W-Wait! A-Aren't yo-" Gene pulled back. "Dating Daniel? Not anymore." I shrugged.
"What happened?" Zenix asked. "It's a long story." I sighed. Right now, I had some of the only people I could depend on.
And I'm okay with that.
