I woke up with only a couple of hours of sleep. I always, always wake up at 6 am. Don't know why, I just do, and let me tell you...it's annoying. I woke up to smell something cooking. Am I dreaming? I look around and see Lilith. In the kitchen. Cooking.

Okay. It smells really weird for some reason, then I see her add a whole bottle of salt. Not that I don't love salt, but that's way too much. I immediately jump out of the bed and walk towards her. She looks at me and says "Breakfast?". She hands me a bowl of what I can only describe as purgatory food. Gross. It smells absolutely horrid. I push it away and say "No thanks.".

She pushes a cup of tea my way. "How about some Earl Gray Tea?"

I smile. She can't possibly mess up tea...can she? I take a sip and force myself to swallow. It just tastes like lukewarm water and dirt.

"Lilith."

"Yes?"

"Show me your mark."

She pulls down her t-shirt and I see her mark. It's healing well. I grab her other shoulder and pull her closer to me. I get the tea and dump it on her mark. She just stares at me. Looks like she can't feel it.

"This isn't tea, it's just water with dirt in it."

"It isn't to your liking."

"No! It's absolutely horrid! How have you survived this long with your cooking skills?"

"I don't need a stove to consume a soul. Though I can eat hunter food. I've never had to cook, it tastes the same to me."

"Huh. Fine." I drop the teacup and go to the changing room to change into my combat clothes. Combat clothes are light, but are enchanted to withstand many low level attacks and weapons. They are flexible and they stick to your skin. Mine were black. The more powerful you are, the more you can protect yourself from higher level spells and weapons. My combat clothes are good enough. I'd have to update them soon (because of the Choosing). After the Ranking though. Should I put my hair up? I'll do it for now, it'll probably get in the way anyways. There. All ready now.

I came out to see Lilith holding two things. The first one was an eyepatch. What for though?

"For your eye. We can't have any students see what we've done." She answered as if reading my mind.

"Can you do it?" I asked

She nodded and went behind me. She put the eyepatch over my right eye and tied a knot. It was so soft and comfortable. Honestly, how does she get this stuff in such short notice? She was in front of me admiring her handiwork.

"Perfect. You can take it off during the ranking. Teachers can see it. Just not students."

"Okay."

"What's that?" I asked pointing to the second item. It was covered so I couldn't tell what it was. She undraped it and it was... a sword. It was so pretty. It was long and sharp with a cool handle and nice design on the blade. It looked to be made of bronze and iron. It seemed to glow gold with this immense power. Gold. Tier 10? Tier 10 magic was said to be a myth... how did she get her hands on this?

"It was forged by Lucifer's own hands."

Lucifer...the Lord of Hell. "How did you get your hands on this? Is this tier 10 magic?"

"Yes, the myths are true, this is a very powerful sword. Is it to your liking?"

"Yes, it suits me just fine. What is it made out of?"

"Demon metal, diamond, and mesarith."

I gasped in surprise at the last one. Mesarith? The metal that couldn't be broken or bent by anyone or anything?
