Daughter of Poseidon

Nico failed

Oh how they were surprised.

Of course nobody expected it, but the fact that she was alive still shocked them.

Apparently Percy was the only child of Poseidon for a century before she came along.

And to have them both within three years was probably the hardest thing to grasp.

The way Kai wished for things to go, would have been for Poseidon to claim her right then and there at dinner.

But hardly anything ever happens the way she wanted them to.

It was weeks of living at camp for anyone to even acknowledge that she was his child.

Granted, she never got claimed and never used her abilities around them.

Not even during Capture the Flag games that happened once a week.

Also granted, she hardly participated in any social gathering at all.

Since she had not been officially claimed, she wasn't allowed to live in cabin three.

Technically she was supposed to stay in the Hermes cabin, which all of its residents being unclaimed demigods and the Hermes kids, all of whom are extremely rowdy and never slept.

So normally Kai broke into the Hades cabin at three in the morning to try to get some sleep.

Besides, Nico looked the most peaceful when he was asleep, he wasn't scowling or glaring at people then.

The first night she broke in, evading the Harpies, his face looked almost completely different than normal, super relaxed and fresh and young.
Also a technicality, Kai was supposed to wear clothes from the cabin she slept in, but she didn't like the clothes from that cabin.

One afternoon, Loki hung out with her and the two of them raided a whole bunch of cabin's clothing trunks, which were stocked according to previous or current clothing items of the demigods living there.

Other than her camp shirt, everything else came from a different place.

From the Zeus cabin, they found some black ripped jeans that fit her. Which was easy because nobody seemed to be there at the moment, Jason must have gone back to Valhalla.

They accidentally ran into three Hectate children while attempting to raid it. Their names were Morgana, Dani, and Trevor, who all graciously helped them find a pair of all black high top converse shoes that fit her.

And surprisingly, from the Iris cabin, Loki found her a cream, blue, and pink camo shirt, which she wore on top of the camp's shirt.

On her own, Kai went into the Posiedon cabin, just to look around.

The clothes inside there were all fit for a boy, which didn't bother her because pretty much all the other clothes she wore were a guy's size.

And the reason being- pockets.

She unburied a hoodie.

Its shoulder patch and hood, as well as a small section of the material down by her wrists were all dark grey, while the rest of the hoodie was black.

Inside its pocket, she found a photograph of Percy and another girl with blonde curly hair, grey eyes, and tan skin, both wearing Mickey mouse ears. They were holding a small child, a little brunette girl with bright blue eyes who was dressed as a princess.

"Estelle." Kai jumped to her feet, still clutching the sweatshirt and photograph.

Percy stood in the open doorway.
"Who?" She stuttered, slighty unnerved wondering how long he had been watching her.
