Her Eyes or Not Her Eyes

"But to permanently kill a god you must be one yourself?" Lucas said.

"Why do you think her body is degrading so rapidly then genius?" Saffi pointed out. "Any god would have to be stripped of their powers to be able to live in human form."

"So you're suggesting that Kai is a goddess?" Noah went right to the point.

"I'm not suggesting idiot. Remember Khoine was sent to Tartarus. So someone needed to replace her until she got back, whether or not it's her mother or her, that is unsure."
Saffi admitted, wanting to twist her fingertips out of a nervous habit, but there was no way she was showing any signs of a weakness to them. It all is probably a little far fetched, but it was the best theory she could come up with.

Valerye and Londyn seemed to be having a glare-off with Morgana.
"I knew it, I always knew it." Valerye spit. "Ever since our first year at Hogwarts, I knew you were up to something. Not to mention your eyes are a different color now, what is with that?"

"My eyes?" Morgana rubbed them, a frightened expression on her face. "Is that better?"

The rest of the group was taken aback by her sudden shift in persona, and the fact that her eyes were now different.

"Excuse me?" Valerye asked.

"My eyes, are they blue again?" Morgana spoke alarmingly.

"Y-yes?" Valerye stuttered.

To Saffi's surprise, Morgana's eyes had changed. Whenever she had seen her or her siblings, they always had the same amber eyes as Valerye. Now they were a deep blue.

"What kind of witchcraft is that?" Evan said, jumping behind Londyn who smirked at him.

"I have to get out of here." Morgana muttered, shoving her way through the group.

"You're not going anywhere!" Valerye grabbed her arm.

"LET ME GO!" a spurt of purple mist sprayed from her fingertips making Valerye lose her grip on her. "You don't understand! I'm a danger to you all!!! Yes, I'll admit it even though it wasn't me. This is a phony of a quest. Yes it was just to get Kai out of camp. But you have to believe me when I say I'm not the person responsible for it!"

"And how's that?" Raven said, popping her hands on her hips. "It sure looked like you were plenty responsible to me."

"My eyes were amber right? Those aren't my eyes!! They're someone else's!!! Everytime I have them, you should know that it's him controlling me!! But I can't tell whether or not when he is, so you have to let me go!! I'm a danger to you! And if you want any hope in rescuing Kai and the other two, than I can't be with you! He'll see every move of ours through me and counter us till it's too late. Please just let me go." Her words hung heavy in the air bearing down on their shoulders.

"You can't go alone." Noah said.

"I'll go with her, make sure she behaves." Valerye volunteered.

"You sure?" Londyn asked.

"Trust me, I can take care of myself."

"Is nobody going to address the fact that she never told us exactly who is controlling her?" Saffi grumbled as Valerye and Morgana walked off into the woods.

"We're gonna die, we're gonna die." Loki whimpered over and over and over under his breath.

Kai pushed him back against the wall as two guards passed on the other side of the intersection, clamping her hand over his mouth.

"Only if you keep talking." She said harshly. "Are you going to be quiet enough so I can remove my hand now?"

He visibly gulped and nodded.

They crept through the dark tunnels, keeping extra care to not look inside any of the cells.
Kai made that mistake once and didn't plan on doing it again.
Rounding the next corner she saw a light.

Loki suddenly pulled her back hissing, "there are three of them."

Sure enough when she peered around the corner, there were three people by the dungeon's exit. But one looked familiar.

Nico rounded the corner to the entrance of the prison.

"You shall not pass." The guards crossed their spears to block his passage.

"Do you know who I am?" Nico demanded, not liking that he had to result to using his heritage to get to things.

They both nodded, to his surprise. "We have been given direct orders to not let the son of our lord through these doors."

So there was someone down here he wasn't supposed to see.

Nico tapped his foot impatiently waiting for them to let him pass.

He stood for minutes, giving them the death glare.

There was a scuffle of footsteps as someone peeped around a corner behind the prison's gate.

His eyebrows shot up and he quickly knitted his brow back into a scowl. There was no mistaking what he saw. He only knew one person with blue and blonde hair.
