Kai scowled at the roof in the lavender colored room. It was almost as if Morgana knew exactly why she hated the color.
She felt guilty for the way she felt towards it. It used to be her bedroom's wall's color, the same bedroom her mother would occasionally keep her locked in.
Now she knew why, since her mother had been controlled Kai's whole life with a pair of bracelets.Yet her stomach still swirled with the trauma that remained in her memories.
Morgana must have also given her the potion her mother gave her, otherwise she guessed she would be dead by now, though Kai wasn't exactly sure how much time had passed since she had awoken the first time.
It had at least been a couple days. She slouched against the walls, her head between her knees as she tried to think.
Her mind wouldn't focus on one thing. She wanted to formulate a plan on how she could find Lucas and get them back to Camp Half Blood safely, however, her ADHD mind wouldn't settle down. Her mind kept darting from plotting revenge on Morgana, trying to figure out where she was, how long it had been, where Lucas was being kept in the first place, and if she wasn't lying to herself, she often found herself wondering where something sharp was so she could impale her brain. She reasoned that whatever Morgana wanted from her wouldn't be good, and the best way to stop her was to kill herself.
But that wouldn't help Lucas, he was probably only being kept alive because the Divons believed that they could use him to control her. And if she was gone, then they probably wouldn't hesitate to get rid of Lucas either.
A crack echoed through the room and Morgana appeared next to Kai, sitting down.
"Are you ready?" She asked as she pulled her fluffy black hair into a bun.
Kai rolled her eyes as another crack echoed in the room, this time being Trevor, holding someone with a blindfold in his arms.
"Lucas?!" Kai shot up and ran to him, yanking off the blindfold.
She carefully examined every inch of his face, finding deep relief when he didn't look at all like she had been imagining. His skin wasn't bruised, broken, or bloody. He just looked asleep.
"What did you do to him?" Kai demanded, stepping back from Trevor and the sleeping Lucas, as Dani apparated into the room as well.
"He's fine, sleeping draught potion." Dani pulled an empty vial off of her belt and put it into Kai's hand.
Kai held up the vial, sniffing the lip, which smelled like thick maple syrup.
"You never answered my question." Morgana noted, standing up from the floor, idly playing with her gold and pearl wand.
"I couldn't truthfully answer without more information on what you want me to do." Kai tossed the vial back to Dani, and crossed her arms.
"Though I suppose if you brought Lucas, whatever you want me to do isn't going to be something I'm going to enjoy.""She has a point." Trevor shrugged as his sisters each touched one of his shoulders, and Dani grabbed Kai's arm.
"Careful where you press." Kai hissed as Dani's fingers clapped onto her wrist.
Dani winced, but her grip noticeably lightened.
A crack split the air as Kai and the Divons were sucked through air into the void.
Blackness surrounded them, dull colors flashed over their eyes, giving them glimpses of what they were passing by.
They screeched to a halt in a pile of snow.
