"Guys!!! Over here!!!" Londyn shouted from where they stood by a large oak tree.

Raven rushed over immediately, stumbling over the littered grass.

For the past half hour, she had been lifting up chunks of dirt, and their hole was still only twelve stories deep.
So far, they had seen no sign of the underworld, nor how much farther they would have to keep digging.

Raven reached Londyn at the same time Lucas did.
Her eyes stretched seeing the endless crack in the ground.
How had they not seen this before? She wondered, imagining them wasting so much time when they could have just jumped down this hole.

"Wait." Lucas grabbed Raven's upper arm before she could step into the chasm. "We don't even know if this leads to the underworld."

"Since when are you the sensible one, or maybe you are just overthinking this. Tell me this Nightlight, where else would this lead? How do you think Kai, Nico, and Loki made it to the underworld?" Raven shot back, yanking her arm from his grasp.

"Are we going then?" Evan asked, pulling the bill of his hat down.

"Hell yeah." Raven said.

"Let's do this then!" Noah took the lead, much to Raven's relief.

"No matter what, we will all come out, got that. Nobody gets left behind." Saffi said, finally speaking up. "From what I expect to come after . . . . let's just say we will need everyone we can get."

Raven exchanged confused glances with the rest of the group. "Something is coming after?" Evan asked, his body language radiating uneasiness.

Saffi nodded. "My gods have sent me a vision. A vision of a great battle, wizards and demigods and elves and aliens fighting. Some together, others against. Many people will die."

"You didn't think to mention this before?" Londyn asked, their fangs looking more prominent than Raven remembered.

"Be warned. I do not know who makes it." Saffi continued as if she hadn't heard a thing.

Lucas shifted his balance beside Raven, rubbing his arms and scowled at them. "Do you think this is how prophecies are told at their camp?"

Raven shrugged uncertainly. She knew next to nothing about camp
Ka pa makemake Ikaika where Saffi was from.
"Wait, is it her?" Raven asked, watching Lucas stare at his arms as an angry red rash blossomed in his skin.
He nodded, gritting his teeth together.

"Do we jump then?" Evan asked.

"We have to." Raven said, taking one last look at her surroundings. The setting sun had begun to disappear behind dark storm clouds, turning the sky a violent red shade.

"I have a feeling that we won't see the sun again for a long time." Lucas muttered, following her gaze.

The whole group nodded as glum as the forecast.

"Geronimo!!" Evan called, being the first to send himself plummeting into the unknown.

(Valerye's Pov)

She howled, the shrill noise vibrating in her esophagus.

"Looks like you're all alone." Morgana sneered at Valerye, her amber eyes flickering with malice.

Dani and Trevor examined their surroundings, not as positive as Morgana appeared to be.

Valerye grinned back as she picked up on their scent.

"Am I?" She smirked, watching Morgana's sneer shift to a scowl.

"She's Never alone!!" Astra shouted from above them.
