What Did She Mean?!

Conan's POV

" What do you think about the deal?" Mr. Griffith said.

" Uhh.. I .." I wasn't at all listening. I was still thinking if Mila is really pregnant or not. I found Sarah glaring at me. I sighed deeply.

" Mr. Griffith, I think, sir needs some time to think about it. Don't worry I have noted all the points you have talked. We can discuss about it later and if you don't mind we can fix our meeting in a few days." Sarah said.

Smart girl though. I like it.

Duh!! You like all of her or you love her?!! My brain mocked.

I was shocked at the 'L' word. I admitted long back that I was attracted by her but I never said the 'L' word. Because it sounds weird to me now when I have lost my trust in that word. I don't want to fall in love with anyone else to get the heart break again and moreover she is her sister. How can I trust her!!? What if she does the same thing her sister has done before?! No, I can't let her effect me that much. I can't let her hurt me like her sister has done. I won't.

" Ok, Ms. Miller if you think like that." He said.

" Well, thanks a lot for considering it. No worries, we will call you soon to inform you about the deal." She said and I sighed.

" You're welcome, Ms. Miller." He said smilingly. " You have a beautiful smile." He said and I raised one of my eyebrows coldly staring at him which he didn't notice because he was smitten by her.

" Thank you, Mr. Griffith." Sarah said giving him one of her professional smile.

" If you don't mind can we have a dinner together on next weekend?" He asked her. Bloody!!!! Say yes and you will be in trouble. I gritted in my mind.

" I don't think I am free this weekend or next one. I have promised someone to spend time with her." She said.

Spend time with whom??! I asked myself.

She said she will spend time with her. That means it's a woman. You don't have to worry about that. My brain said.

Yeah, my brain thinks smartly. I sighed.

" We have an event to attend. If you will excuse us now, Mr. Griffith." I said holding her hand pulling her out with me.

" Where are you going?" She asked me. " To the event?" She asked me.

" Yes." I said.

" Then why are you dragging me with you?" She asked me.

" Because you are going with me." I said.

" Why do I have to go with you?" She asked me.

" Because I said so." I said.

" What will I do there?" She asked me.

" You will accompany me." I said to her.

" You can simply take anyone else." She said. Why does she has to be so stubborn.

" Yes, I can but I choose you to come with me as you are my secretary. If I need to take any notes you will take that for me." I made a lame excuse. She rolled her eyes.

The reason why I was taking her with me was for a weird reason I didn't want to let her go this early. I wanted to spend time with her and it has started to scare me that someone else will reach her if I don't keep her under supervision or around me. In fact, the mere thought of losing her started to make me scared as hell. I don't know what was happening to me but it was true that she already had a lot of effect on me.

" Alright. I will go." She said.

" We don't have any other choice." I said to her and she sighed.

We reached the parking lot and got in the car. I started to drive towards the event venue.

" It's still early to go there." She said.

" Hmm.." I said.

" Are you still thinking about your sister?" She asked me and I sighed. " You can do something." She said.

" Do what?" I asked her.

" You can buy a lot of pink and blue helium balloons and give them to your sister she will pick one and you will understand if it's a boy or girl. Pink for baby girl and blue for baby boy." She said and I rolled my eyes.

" Even if she is pregnant it will be very early to know about baby's gender." I said to her.

" Oh, yes. I got it. Don't worry she will tell you soon." She said and at the same time we reached the venue.

I met the associates and event organizers there. I was very irritated by the people who kept asking for a date to Sarah. I decided to leave before I just kick everyone's face there.

" Oh, we are leaving early?" She asked me.

" Yes." I said.

" But why?" She asked me.

" Because I said so." I said and she rolled her.

" You are acting weird these days. You know that, right?" She asked me but I didn't answer her.

Cause I knew it was true and she was right. I was acting weird these days. I don't even know why what will I tell her!!?

We were going back but suddenly my phone started to ring. I stopped the car roadside and picked up the call. It was Adam.

" Hello." I said.

" Where are you?" He asked in a shaky voice.

" What happened?!" I asked him. But what he said made my blood frozen in my vein.

" Shit!!!" I said and hung up. I speeded up crazily.

" Slow down. You will kill both of us." I heard her voice. I didn't answer. " What happened to you?" She asked me but I kept quiet.

As soon as I stopped the car I jumped down from it and ran inside the hospital. I asked receptionist about the floor and he told me. I again rushed towards the floor. I found her following me. As soon as the lift stopped I ran out of there and found Adam sitting there with a horrible expression.

" What happened?" I asked him.

" I don't know. I went home and found she was laying on the floor senselessly." He said.

" Where is she?" I asked him.

" The doctor is checking her." He said and we waited for the doctor came out.

I looked at Sarah weirdly when doctor said the same thing she has predicted a few hours back. How did she know!!? She smirked proudly. I chuckled.

" Go, meet your sister." She said smilingly. I chuckled.

I meet Mila and she was so happy with the good news along with Adam. Both will be the best parents ever. I came out to give them some privacy. But as I came back I found Sarah near the staircase trying to find out something.

" What happened?" I said and she shook her head.

" I thought I saw someone like my sister." She said.

Why will she be here!?!

" But whatever!!! I don't care about her anyways." She said.

What?!!! What did she mean?!
