Chapter One

A/N Hey! I doubt anyone is reading this but here's a warning, I'm probably not going to spell things right, I own nothing except what I make up, and this is probably going to be terrible. Sorry :P.

Delilah Greth was the type of girl to say anything that was on her mind growing up. She would think something and it came out of her mouth the second she thought it. She would be sent to the principals' office so many times for disrupting class. Now, she sits in the back of the class. She doesn't raise her hand. She doesn't speak in front of the class. And she never is seen at any parties. People would see her in the yearbook and ask, "Do we know her?" And the answer would always be the same thing, "I've never seen her before."

Growing up, Delilah would have many imaginary friends. Whenever kids would exclude her of activities or clubs, she would immediantley go to her imaginary friends. Sometimes they were her best friends, sometimes they were the girl who made her life more miserable than reality already made her. Delilah basically lived in her own world for the longest time. But she grew out of that in third grade. That's when she met Hunter. It was the first day of third grade and Delilah took her seat in the far left corner and did what she did every year, buried her face in her book and watched as everybody walked in. Then he walked in. He had short blond hair with the darkest brown eyes you will see. He was wearing a red Nike T-Shirt, tannish shorts, and sport bracelets on both his wrists. Their eyes didn't lock for more than two seconds, and they didn't have to. Hunter saw the beautiful girl in the back of the class with brown hair that is parted to the right just a little, and she had green eyes that sparkled so bright you could see them through the fog at night. "Okay Hunter, play it cool," he thought to himself. He took a seat right next to her and her heart skipped a beat. Nobody ever sat near her, why was he? After a couple minutes, he finally asked about her book, and that was all it took to become best friends.

In the fourth grade, Delilah met a spunky girl named Grace. Grace had a big collar like necklace and was wearing a flower dress. Grace came into school one day and ran right up to her and introduced herself in a way that made Delilah think that she took too many happy pills this morning. Thankfully, Delilah wasn't too annoyed with her happy-go-lucky personality. The same day, Hunter met Jack, a boy that wasn't even bothered to say hello. He was your I-hate-this-place-and-everyone-in-it type of person. But Hunter being Hunter, he introduced himself. It wasn't as easy as Grace and Delilah, that's for sure. But after Jack realized making friends wasn't so easy in this town, he befriended Hunter. The four eventually became friends and made their group. However, Jack was never to thrilled about Delilah. But somehow, they kept it a secret around Grace and Hunter. People would still look at Delilah with a pity look in their eyes but Delilah didn't care, she had friends.

But that was years ago, now Delilah is eighteen and starting her last year of high school. Delilah still did her same routine, sat in the back and buried her face in a book. This year it's "Romeo and Juliet" the original text.

"It's the first day of school and you're already nerding out, you freak," Delilah looked up to see the black haired boy stairing at her with pure hatred in his eyes.

"Great, you're here first," she said just as Hunter and Grace walked in. Delilah let out a relief sigh for she didn't have to spend to muchtime with Jack.

"Can you believe this is our last year of high school? I can't believe it's finally here!" Grace said with her red hair tucked into a braid, a collar on her neck, and a flower dress trying to reach her knees, but stop halfway on her thighs.

"Yeah, it's just a thrill, having to rule the school with an iron fist," Hunter jokingly said, with his hair spiked up, sport bracelets on his wrists, and wearing his usual Nike shirt. Delilah just sat there and laughed. Two girls in the corner of the room started staring at her like they've never seen a girl laughing before.

After the day passed, the four went to their place, a semi- large shed in the middle of the forest they made when they were in eighth grade. They all popped open a beer and raised it in the air. Hunter started talking, "To us actually surviving these years of high school, actually making it through three years without dying, and making this last year the best year yet!" They all cheered as they took big swigs of their beers. But of course, Hunter only took a small one, because he was too busy staring at the girl he fell in love with many years ago chugging her beer with the biggest and most beautiful smile on her face. "Yes," he thought, "this will be the best year yet," then took another swig.
