It was just a normal saturday for Delilah, staying up all night doing nothing but reading, then sleeping all day. This was the one day Delilah got to herself. Nobody to bother her. Her parents knew this was her day, and her day only. Delilah was in the middle of sleeping when her phone rang. She moaned and answered it with a harsh tone, not caring who was on the other side.

"What?"

"Delilah?"

"Again, what?"

"Wow you're not in a good mood, I was wondering if you would come to the fort," Delilah realized that the voice was Grace.

"Why? I'm too tired."

"We just want you to come hang out with us. Is it too much to ask that I want my best friend to hang out with me?" Delilah just grunted and then said, "I'll be there in twenty minutes." The only reason it would take her that long is because it would take her at least ten minutes to wake up in the first place.

Finally after ten minutes, Delilah got out of bed, not even bothering to take a shower. She threw on her makeup and threw on a shirt that says, "If someone doesn't come back from the future to stop you, how bad of a descion can it be?" She always loved this shirt. And after trying to do her hair for the ninth time, she threw on a hat and was out the door.

Delilah opened the door to their hideout and found Grace, Hunter, and Jack all sitting on the couch, laughing.

"Hey Delilah," Grace said.

"Hey Daisy," Hunter said. Hunter has never called her Daisy before and it threw her off.

"Hey girlie," Jack said. Even Jack said something to her. Normally, he wouldn't even acknowledge she was in the room, and now he's saying hi?

"Hey," Delilah shyly said, wondering why everybody is in such a good mood. Grace came up to Delilah and wrapped her arms around her neck.

"Why is everybody in such a good mood today?"

"Because we all made a bet, and we want you to join in on it," Grace said.

"What's the bet?" Delilah asked with a little terror in her voice.

"That you have to be in the best mood of you life and you cannot say 'no' at all today."

"Oh, okay. And what happens when I win the bet?" Delilah asked.

"Well, when I win, I get one hundred dollars," Jack said with a cocky smirk on his face.

"How are we all going to afford a hundred dollars exactly?"

"It's in the bet jar. We found it in the basement yesterday and we thought we would dust it off for another year of bets."

Delilah had to think about it for a minute but she did remember the bet jar. When all of them were in middle school, they would take all the change from their pockets and put it in the bet jar. The winner of the bet would win all the money. But the catch was, when they had another bet, the past winner would have to put as much money as they won, back in the jar. It was stupid and pointless, but it was entertaining.

"So what do you say Delilah? Up for a bet?" Hunter asked with his hand extended. Delilah simplied smiled and shook his hand.

"Just don't think about how we woke you up on a saturday. The only day of the week you get to yourself," Jack said trying to twist the knife, but it is not going to work.

"That's okay I mean you just didn't want to exclude me in this fun activity!" Jack just gave her a big fake smile.

Later that day, all of them decided they wanted coffee. What that actually means is they send the last person to arrive at the fort needs to go pick up their orders. So Delilah walked into town and walked into 'Jims', the only coffee shop in town. Delilah walked up to the counter and started saying the order.

"I'll have two non-fat lattes and two black coffees,"

"Two non-fat lattes and two black coffes for the pretty girl!" The boy behind the counter yelled. Finally Delilah looked up to see Drake, a cute senior in her language arts class. Delilah just stood there fased by the fact the somebody complimented her, or even knew she was there. Delilah searched for the words in her mind, but nothing was there.

"Here is your order," Drake said pushing a tray of coffees over to her.

"Thanks."

"Oh and don't forget your receipt," Drake said. Delilah took the receipt and looked at the bottom. There was a phone number with his name at the bottom. Delilah started walking towards the door and looked back to see the cute boy waving at her and winking. A cute boy finally notices her after all these years and what does she do? She runs straught into the glass door and falls on her butt.
