"So, are you happy you got back together or not?" York asked Pilar before biting off a piece of her burger. York and Pilar met in the restaurant they loved so much. They never really knew why they loved this place so much, the food wasn't terrifc, the place was run down, and it was low on staff. But, the real, unwritten reason they both loved it was because it was old styled. Inside, it looked like it was made in the sixties. There were posters of The Beatles or Elvis on the walls, there was an old jute box, even the staff would wear the regular black shirt and an apron wrapped around their waists. Both the girls loved things that were made in the old days, mostly because they wish they could just go back in time, before life was complicated. The restaurant wasn't popular, so there wasn't a lot of people there, which was good for Pilar.

"Yeah, I'm happy," Pilar said with a smile on her face.

"Well, if you're happy, then I'm happy."

"I thought you never liked Peter?"

"That was when he was a dick, now he's not. But if he crosses that line again, I will cut off his-"

"Okay! I get it!" Pilar yelled before York could get any farther. Both of the girls giggled. York was especially happy, she was happy to see Pilar smiling again, without holding something back. The bell above the door rang very softly, just barely heard by York who looked passed Pilar's head to see Peter. He was wearing his casual Adidas clothing but this time, with a snapback York has never seen before. He held a finger to his lips and a smile on his face after noticing York. She just winked and focused on Pilar telling a story that wasn't important. Peter started tip-toeing up to Pilar, not even making the floorboards creek. Right when he was side by side with Pilar, he picking her up bridal style, kissed her over and over on the cheek, and spun her round and round. Some of the workers smiled at the cute gesture and they didn't seem to mind, regardless nobody else was in the building.

"Peter! Put me down!" Pilar screamed. Even though she was saying she wanted this to end, she was smiling so much that her cheeks and stomach started to hurt, but she didn't care.

"I'll put you down when you say you love me," he said obviously enjoying teasing her. York took out her phone and started recording.

"I love you, I love you!" He smirked a little, then pulled her up, but didn't put her down. Instead, he threw her over his shoulder and carried her by her feet.

"That wasn't very convincing!"

"Peter, I love you more than anything! Now put me down!" He laughed out loud and finally set her down. She tried to fix her hair, but that didn't help. Peter squeezed into the booth with Pilar and sat with no space in between the two.

"You guys are cuter than puppies!" York squealed.

"I don't know, puppies are pretty cute," Peter said in a sing-song voice. Pilar just elbowed Peter in the ribs and he grabbed her hand.

"Can I take your order?" The waiter said. He seemed familar to York and Pilar, but of course, they're in here every day.

"I'll have a root bear," York said.

"I'll have a Coke," Peter said.

"And I'll have a-"

"Sprite," the waiter cut Pilar off by saying, "I remember. I'll be right back."

"What was that about?" Peter asked in a serious tone. Both the girls just shrugged and looked at their menus. After about five minutes, the waiter came back.

"Root bear, Coke, and most importantly, the Sprite," the waiter said.

'Daniel!' Pilar jumped as her mind reminded her of who this waiter was, 'the boy who gave you his number!' She freaked out a little bit thinking about what Peter would do if he found out. But it was too late after Daniel turned around and winked at Pilar.

"That boy better be winking at me," Peter said getting annoyed with the one-sided flirting. Peter was just about to get up when Pilar grabbed his sleeve.

"Peter! It's just one boy I don't even know!" Peter took one deep breath, closed his eyes, and squeezed Pilar's hand.

"I love you," Pilar said rewarding him with a kiss on the cheek.

"I love you too."

After the three had their meals and a different waiter cleaned up their plaits, Daniel came back out and gave them their receipt. But specifically pushed it towards Pilar. At the bottom it said, "What will it take to get you to notice me?"

'Did he not see Peter pick me up earlier?' She thought. Peter let out a frustrated sigh, obviously stating he saw the receipt. Again, Pilar grabbed his sleeve before he could do anything. Peter slammed the money on the table, grabbed Pilars' hand, nodded towards York, and tried to leave. York was in the front with Peter behind her and he was pulling Pilar with him. Then, Pilar felt a warm hand grab her. Her face turned cherry red and could feel the heat radiate off her cheeks. She stopped dead in her tracks and pulled Peter back with her.

"Pilar, what's-" Peter was cut off by Daniel appearing from behind her with a gigantic smile on his face. He looked at Pilar and saw nothing but fear and embarrassment. Her shoulders were stiff and she didn't want to move from that spot.

"Pilar, did he-" he was cut off from her just nodding her head. All Pilar felt was Peter's hand detatch from hers and storm over to Daniel. It all happened so fast, but it started with Peter throwing the first punch.
