Hours. It seemed like the pounding lasted for hours. In reality, it was probably only a half, but it felt much longer than that. The only thing Delilah could hear was the sound of Drake pounding on the door and calling out her name.

"Delilah! Delilah, I know you're in there! Please open the door! What he said isn't true!" Delilah sat in her room, on the floor, staring at the ceiling, listening to Drake beg. Finally, she couldn't take it anymore. She got up and unlocked the door, leaving it for Drake to open. It only took a second for it to fly open, revealing Drake, who took no time to wrap his hands around Delilah's waist. She just kept her hands to her sides, refusing to hug him back.

"Delilah, I've been so worried about you!" Delilah looked at him like he just came back from the dead, like she couldn't believe he was being serious. She had dark circles under her eyes and her clothes were filthy.

"You killed him," she whispered.

"No I didn't! I would never hurt Hunter!" Drake exclaimed.

"You killed him."

"No, I didn't!"

"You killed him."

"Stop saying that!" Drake grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her slightly. Delilah just stayed in the same position, her eyes still in a trance.

"You killed him."

"I didn't hurt Hunter! Even if I did, he's not dead."

"You killed his soul. He's nowhere to be found, but even so, you killed his mind." Delilah looked over to the floor. Drake was confused, there was nothing there, but in Delilah's mind, she saw a replica of Hunter's body, laying on his stomach, with a bullet through his head.

"Delialh, what are you even talking about?"

"I'm saying that you need to leave, and never come back." Drake took this statement like a shot to the gut. His face fell, like all happiness he's ever experienced never happened.

"Delilah please, I love you, please don't make me leave." Drake begged. He knew that she wasn't just talking about leaving her house, he knew if he walked out that door, he would be walking out of her life. He did love her, that was the truest thing he has ever admitted.

"I can't love someone who hurt me."

"I didn't hurt you!"

"You hurt Hunter, that's close enough," tears were streaming down Delilah's face and this was the first time Drake realized they were falling faster down his own. He let go of her shoulders and headed towards the door.

"He's at King Newton's hotel, room forty five." Delilah looked up to see Drake's depressed eyes staring back at her, with passion, and regret.

"And Delilah," he took a pause to put his hand on the door knob, "I do love you, and I will love you through everything that happens." Then, he turned the knob and not only left the room, but also left Delilah's heart.
