Peter took Pilar back to his house and Lola and York followed.
"Lola," Peter started, "I would say thank you for helping, but you did absolutely nothing to help. So, get out of my house." Lola was taken aback with his reaction, but she didn't care much. She just left.
"Well," she said before leaving, "next time your girlfriend is kidnapped, don't come crying to me." After she was already out the door Peter yelled, "You sat there like a fat pig!"
"Pilar! I'm so happy you're back!" York said hugging Pilar tightly.
"Oh my god that hurts so bad!" Pilar almost screamed. York just let go and said, "Sorry." Peter guided Pilar to the bathroom and sat her down on the floor. York saw this and just said, "Yeah, so I'm thrilled you're back, but I'm just... gonna... go," before she turned around and left.
"Looks like we're alone," Pilar said.
"Yep, but don't talk, I need to clean you up." Peter wetted a rag and started washing up the dried blood. After that, all the did was dap her cuts with a fresh washcloth and put bandaids on them. Peter then proceeded to help Pilar up and they walked into the living room. Peter dropped her on the couch and she spread out, happy she can finally stretch her legs out. She turned on the TV to the movie Mean Girls and let out a deep breath at the first time she's been able to relax in a while. Peter came out of the kitchen seconds later with three sandwiches, three glasses of water, and a big pile of chips in the middle. Pilar didn't bother saying thank you because she just dug into the first real meal she's had in a long time.
"Don't eat too fast, you'll get sick," Peter said while wiping some mustard off her cheek with his napkin.
"I don't even care right now."
"I figured you'd be extremely hungry, that's why there's two of everything for you," he said kissing her on the head. After they were done, Peter cleaned up the dishes and laid down with Pilar on the couch, spooning.
"Pilar?" He asked while rubbing his nails up and down her back.
"Yeah?"
"I love you, so, so much. I thought you were dead and I was a wreck without you beside me. I just want to make sure you know how much I love you, because I love you more than life." Pilar flipped over so she was facing him and winced a little at the movement.
"Peter, you are, and always will be, the love of my life. Forever and always," she said before kissing him on the lips and falling asleep on his chest.
