Just as she feared, ladies flock around him the minute Doug walks into the ballroom. Most of them are his old lovers. The flings in his past.
Jealousy burned in her veins.
"I'm his wife. Can't you see I'm here?" whispers Emmie.
Wished she could drag them and toss them out of the ballroom.
Emmie doesn't feel so good. Feeling sick again. Maybe the sweat and perfumes mixed together aren't the best fragrant for her nose. Making her felt awful.
She goes out from the crowded ballroom. The fresh night air felt good. Not too cold. Just a breeze of wind.
Her head swirls a little. She holds the balcony railing for support.
(I'm sick. I better go home. I'll tell a servant to sent a message to Doug).
She also asks the servant to call for her carriage.
Emmie suffered a terrible headache. Her carriage has arrived. She doesn't look at the Coachman at all. She only needs to get back home quickly. She doesn't realize it isn't Doug's carriage until she has gone in.
Emmie gasps when a man is sitting inside her carriage.
"What are you doing here?" asks her.
"This is my carriage," replies Charles coolly.
Emmie wants to leave but he grabs her waist. She falls on top of him.
"Let me go! Help!"
A handkerchief with weird smell is pressed to her nose and mouth. The smell made her world goes black.
Charles caresses her smooth cheek with his thumb. He knocks to the carriage roof with his walking stick. The carriage moves immediately.
"Emmie, you finally be mine. Do you really think you could escape me?"
A kiss to her lips. She's still out cold.

"Tell me. How to make you love me back?" demands Charles angrily.
"No one could force me to love you!"
His hand is raised but he hits a nearby table in his rage. Hitting his dream woman wouldn't make her fall in love with him. Unless she's a masochist. And she's definitely not.
Emmie shudders out of fear.
Charles holds her and kisses her head.
He whispers, "From the first day we met, I always love you. Knowing you would be mine one day. No one, not even your stupid husband could save you from me."
He kisses her bare neck. Going lower.
"Please, Charles...no...I just got my period last night..."
He hisses like a snake in his rage. But he regains his composure again immediately.
"You are definitely worth waiting, Emmie. Let's get to know each others before we finally meet in bed."
He forces a fierce kiss to her lips. Venting his frustration for not having her.
Emmie tries to push him away. But he's just too strong for her.
Finally Charles releases her and leaves her room. Emmie kneels down on the floor and weeps a lot.
(It has been a week. My period was never so late like this. I'm pregnant! Can't let him touch me. My baby. I must protect my child).
Emmie looks around. The window is barred. The door is locked. No chance to escape.
