Forty five days later...

Emmie is strolling in Hyde Park in one afternoon. She carries George in her arms. Showing him the Serpentine Lake.

A man walks toward them. She got frozen on spot. Can't believe he got the nerves to approach her in a public space.

Charles greets, "You look dazzling. Be a mother really suits you."

"Why are you here? They said you're dead."

"To greet my son."

Emmie looks around. No one is close enough to hear his words.

Emmie lowers her voice when she protests, "He is Doug's son. You never touch me. We both know it."

Charles chuckles.

He says, "Relax. You're prettier when you're mad. Maybe that's why I love to tease you a lot."

"Charles, this is bullying," protests her.

Charles walks closer to her and she takes few steps backwards.

Until she bumps into a solid body behind her. She looks behind her. Fearing it might be Charles' goon again.

It's Doug, her husband.

Doug hugs her from behind. Showing his claim on her. He stares Charles with murderous intent.

He asks coldly, "What are you doing with my wife? Aren't you supposed to stay in Hell?"

"Just greeting my ex sister in law. I'm just being polite."

Doug gritted his teeth. Charles smiles widely. His gaze falls to the baby boy in her arms.

Charles says, "You feed my son well, Doug. Thank you."

Emmie protests, "He isn't yours!"

Doug hushes her. Crowds are gathering around them. He fakes a smile to them all. They got viewers now.

Charles caresses the boy's head and George starts to cry loudly.

Doug is smiling when he confesses, "I'm not a perfect man. So I shouldn't ask Emmie for perfection. He is her child. That's the only thing matter for me. No one here cares what you think or said, Charles. Good day. We hope our paths never crossed again."

Doug holds her hand and leads her away from that spot.

Charles stares to her back until she's gone out of sight. It's his way to say his final goodbye. To his dream girl.

For now, he would focus his mind in a single mission. To reduce Duke Exeter and his son's power in parliament. They thought he's dead. Charles has been working behind screen to crush them all.

Charles whispers, "Goodbye, Emmie, love. Until we meet again."

In the carriage, Emmie finally asks, "You still don't believe he's your flesh and blood? I swear to God, Doug!"

Doug puts a finger on her lips.

He says,"It doesn't matter to me anymore. I love him. As a father to his son."

"Doug..."

He looks gloomy after the meeting with Charles. Fearing that evil man would cook up some evil schemes to separate them again.

His husband is surprised when she suddenly kisses him.

"Emmie, if you started this..."

"It's okay. I think I'm ready. I miss you, Doug."

"Lady, you really know how to lift up a man's mood."

They share another passionate kiss.

Doug hopes they got home quickly.

*****

Nine months later...

"Can't believe he did it again!"

Doug covers his son's ears. For a lady, Emmie sure curses like a bloody pirate. Especially when she's giving birth to a baby.

His son is crawling, heading to the Master bedroom. Doug catches him and lifts him off the floor.

He says, "Not yet. Your mother needs her focus. You stay here with me."

Few more curses and a baby is crying in the room.

Doug sighs.

He says, "Two hours. Glad it didn't take as long as yours, George. Or she would really hate me."

The midwife comes out of the bedroom. She shows the baby and announces, "Another healthy son, Milord."

Doug smiles.

He says, "George, you have a baby brother. You are a lucky boy."

Both Emmie and Doug are only child. They have no siblings. Doug planned to have four to five kids. Emmie disagreed. Saying two would be enough for her.

Well, Doug is confident he could change her mind. Emmie loves their union in bed.

Doug follows the midwife back to the room. Emmie is sleeping.

"I love you, Emmie. Thanks for the kids," whispers him to her ear.

Emmie smiles in her sleep. Must be a good dream.

*****

Emmie is dancing with him in an empty ballroom. George, her best friend. There's no visible musician. Music is heard from somewhere in the room.

George asks, "Are you happy, Emmie? Does Doug treat you well?"

"Yes. I love him, George. And he finally loves me back."

George smiles widely.

He says, "You deserve happiness. Don't let Charles ruin everything for you. It's a pity he couldn't move on from you."

"I won't let him go near me again."

"A wise woman. Now I could go in peace."

The dance ended.

George smiles peacefully when his body shimmers.

He vanishes.

"George? George!"

Emmie opens her eyes. Tears are flowing down from her cheeks. Something tells her that was the final goodbye. She would never dream about George again.

"Oh, Emmie. Are you okay? Is it hurt a lot?" asks Doug worriedly.

She asks fearfully, "The baby?"

"He's doing great. We haven't named him yet. We didn't agree on a name if I remembered."

Emmie smiles when the baby is put down on her lap.

His oldest son is nagging, wanting to sit down on the bed too.

Doug stares his family. He is a blessed man.
