Promise.

SATURDAY MAY 22, 5 PM.

"One week. There's only one week until the secrets out. Promise me you can keep quiet for one week." I said, holding eye contact with all 3 of them for a couple of seconds to get my point across.

"Yes ma'am." Ned saluted.

"Of course not." Said MJ.

"We know how big of a secret this is." Peter added.

"Thanks for inviting us over." MJ thanked. 

"Thanks for actually coming. I can only imagine how weird it was to get into a car with some random guy and drive hours away to an unknown location."

We said our goodbyes and then I once again gave them all one last farewell hug

"I'll call you tonight," I spoke lowly into Pete's ear as I hugged him.

"Please don't go and get yourself killed." MJ pleaded, holding me at arm's length.

"I'll try my best. Only for you." I laughed, hugging her again and then waving as she joined Peter and Ned in the car.

Later.

"I like your school friends. They're nice." Wanda said joining me in my room.

"Me too Wanda, me too." I agreed. 

"Soo, did anything happen?" She asked.

"Um, n-no of course not."

"What do you mean?" I added when she gave me a skeptical look.

"I was talking about if they found out about your mission and Peter." She clarified.

"Oh, no. They didn't find out, Parker did a pretty good job at acting shocked." 

"Oh. What were you thinking about?"

"Nothing," I denied.

"Astrid..." 

"Okay, fine. I need to tell you something."

"What is it?" She asked.

"First, promise you'll keep this between us." 

"I promise." 

"Now what is it?" She asked, getting impatient. 

"Okay, don't freak out." 

"Just tell me already!" She exclaimed. 

"FINE! Wanda, I-I kissed Peter." I admitted. 

"YOU WHAT?!" She yelled after a moment.

"Do you think I made a mistake?" I asked hesitantly, not really wanting to know the answer.

"You... YOU kissed Peter?"

"It was in the moment! I don't know, it just HAPPENED." I tried to explain.

"Oh Astrid, you're in so over your head." 

"I know, I know." I sighed, holding my head in my hands. 

"But, I thought you wanted me to be with him." I mumbled. 

 "I did, I thought you two would be perfect together. Especially because it was great to see you act like a normal teenager." She began.

"But, I thought it was a small crush, I didn't think about it turning into something more than that."  She admitted. 

"I wish I could be happy for you, but remember what Tony said, the thing about not being able to have regular relationships, let alone romantic ones. It's part of being an Avenger, we all got the talk, and we all agreed. Now don't get me wrong, you can still be with him, just like how you're planning to stay friends with MJ and Ned, but-"
