"ASTRID!" I whipped my head to the source of the sound to see Wanda Maximoff sprinting through the long hallway in the logistics department of the facility.
"Wanda!" She skid to a stop in front of me and threw her arms around me in a bear hug.
"You have no idea how much I've missed you!" She pulled me at arm's length and smiled joyously.
"I've missed you too! It's good to be back." I smiled looking around at the facility.
"Seriously, you have no idea how hard they worked us. And without you here to train with me... it was a nightmare!" She put her arm around my shoulders and we continued walking through the halls towards the living area.
"Sounds like you've been busy." I snickered.
"Not as busy as you though." She smirked and arched her brows.
"What's that supposed to mean." I laughed.
"You and Peter of course! What'd you say when you found out?" She asked.
"Hmmm, I was shocked at first but then I realized how obvious it had been. I ended up telling him."
"WHAT?!" she exclaimed.
"What? W-what do you mean what?" I panicked.
"Astrid, what exactly did you tell him." She whispered.
"Not much! I swear! Just things about me basically. He knows I work with you guys." I explained.
"But, are you sure you can trust him?"
"Yea, of course. He's my friend." But Ned was his BEST friend. CAN I trust him? Peter would never tell anyone my secret... Would he?
"So I'm assuming you got over your little crush then?" Her usual cheery self-was back.
"You could say that." I trailed off, watching agents rush by us.
"You don't have to tell me now, but you better believe we're gonna roundup Nat and have a girls night sometime soon where you'll HAVE to spill." She smirked.
"Fair enough." I shrugged. They were like sisters to me, some of the only girls in my life. I know I can tell them anything.
"It only took you what? 1 month?" Sam ruffled my hair, pulling me out of a hug.
"Shut it parakeet." I laughed, shoving his arm lightly.
Sam had been in the lounge when Wanda and I entered. Where the rest were? I had no idea.
"Where's everyone else?" I asked looking around the area, some of the Christmas decorations were still up, sadly, the large tree was gone.
"Steve and Nat are on a short mission, they should be back by tomorrow morning." Sam sat back down on the sofa and stretched his legs onto the coffee table.
"Vision is around here somewhere." Wanda also sat down and pat the space besides her for me to take.
Right on cue, Vision entered through a door for once.
"Astrid, wonderful to see you." he extended a hand.
"You too Vision. Not too lonely without me, were you?" I smiled and shook his hand. Vision was still getting used to the whole 'socializing with people' deal...but hey! I went through that too when I was taken out of the lab, in fact, I'm still getting used to it.
"Your presence was missed, of course, Wanda was particularly distraught." He eyed Wanda who looked particularly annoyed.
"Vis, what did I say about analyzing me!" She sighed and shook her head.
