<27> Village Community of the Planet Merion
The Grays in the town hall welcomed me. Senior Gray said he works at a community welfare center. He introduced me to the grays. I couldn't tell their faces apart and understand what they were doing. It may be because the community's work was strange to me.
The village community is like a global community center, but its size is much larger as it manages a wide range of tasks including job brokerage, consumption life support, medical support, and cultural projects. It controls the history and cultural heritage of the community as well as traces of the people who lived there.
We went into the conference room to chat. They already knew my identity and wondered about the human world. They questioned how far Earth was and how it was different from this planet. On the other hand, I asked about the life of the planet people and the role of the Greys.
"When did you arrive at the planet Merion?"
"I arrived at the Space Exploration Headquarters about three years ago. I left Earth long before that."
"Where is the planet Earth?"
"It belongs to the Solar System twenty light years away from Merion."
"Are there many Grays on Earth?"
"No, there are only more than seven billion humans on Earth."
"What does a human look like? Why do you look like Gray?"
"Humans look like White. My soul has been transplanted into Gray's body."
"Why did you become a Gray?"
"I was kidnapped by Grays exploring the solar system. They said the human body cannot ride a spaceship."
"You mean our Grays made you a Gray?"
"That's right."
"How do you remember the fact that you were a human?"
"My soul and memory were fully implanted into Gray's body."
"You are remembering life on earth. If we copy your brain and regenerate your memory, we can see the image of the human world."
"You copy my brain and regenerate memories?"
"In the memory repository, there is an equipment that copies and stores intellectual properties of the people with exceptional knowledge and experience. The Whites can use the equipment to copy your brain."
With such equipment, I would be able to recreate Earth environment and the human world I remember. There will also be a memory repository at the Space Exploration Headquarters. My brain may already have been copied there and Jetty may be familiar with global affairs because she read my memories.
It would be more accurate for the Space Exploration Headquarters to receive the results of the probe in the form of a memory chip copied from Gray's brain than in the form of a document or picture from the Solar System Base. If the human world also has such equipment, teachers can show students the scene even if they do not conduct field trips and law enforcement can use it to resolve disputes. That's because they don't have to rely on the inaccurate testimony of witnesses. Some of the grays I discuss with might be involved in storing or reproducing brain memory.
"What do you do in the community?"
"We support White's work and life. Everyone does different things."
"What does Senior Gray do?"
"I manage the facilities of the town hall and host events for Whites. Tomorrow is a holiday, but I will prepare a talk with you and the community Whites."
