<31> Combat Training Camp

I entered the Combat Training Camp without delay, where a hundred and fifty grays were learning about the planet's defense strategy. The training session, which will last for six months, has just begun. The Combat Training Camp trains new combat units twice a year and fill in retirees' vacancies. The size of the planet's defense army is very small compared to the size of the military on Earth. That's because the chances of an invasion from outer space are slim and the planet's military relies on equipment and technology.

The Planet Defense Command considers the invasion of aliens, obstruction of space exploration by aliens, and conflicts between countries on the planet as major threats. Human attack on Grays exploring Earth may also be included. The Command established a basic strategy to promote the safety of the planet through prevention and preemptive strikes, development of advanced weapons, maintenance of Star Wars Corps, and training and exercises to enhance combat power. I thought their strategy was not different from the military strategy of global countries.

I asked the instructor who was teaching. He doesn't know who I am.

"Do we actually have hostile aliens?"

"There are aggressive and cruel humans living on Planet Earth two billion light years away. There were frequent wars and humans developed very formidable weapons. They don't have the ability to invade our planet right now, but we have to be careful. There are monstrous primates on the Planet Kruel, which is much closer than the solar system. They're very prolific and very aggressive. Surprisingly, they eat other primates and even their relatives, which could one day pose a huge threat to us. We are keeping a close eye on Kruel's monsters. It's a big deal if human genes and war technologies are introduced into the planet."

"We don't have to worry about threats from the outside world, do we?"

"There are no aliens who have shown us real hostility, but I am sure there are more capable aliens than Earth's humans and Kruel's monsters. We're collecting precious metals and other resources on planets Merion 4 and 6, where we've seen unknowns. We haven't identified them yet."

"Did unknown creatures interfere with our resource extraction activities?"

"It is clear that they have monitored the development of our resources. They never used force, but our staff were afraid."

There seems to have been unexplainable phenomena and unconfirmed objects have been observed on Planet Merion. Since planet people are not omnipotent, they cannot understand everything that happens in space. Far better primates may be plotting evil scheme somewhere. Planet people have built superior civilization, but they must be as weak as humans.

Movies that aliens invade Earth have been successful, but few actually believe that aliens will destroy the human world. Humans believe that there will be intelligent life outside the solar system with a very superior civilization, but that they are unlikely to attack humans. The more ignorant a person is, the braver he or she is. On the contrary, the more he or she knows, the more anxious and timid he or she becomes. Humans ignore the threat of aliens, but planet people overreact. Humans did not detect external threats, but planet people seem to have felt threatened. That is why they would have created the Planet Defense Command.

However, the planet people's defense strategy is extremely abstract. Based on the probe results of the Space Exploration Headquarters, they are only estimating virtual threats and not grasping the reality of external threats. The Command consists of four parts: The Strategic Planning Office, the Strategic Weapons Research Center, the Star Wars Corps, and the War Support Center. The Strategic Planning Office will organize defense plans, promote the importance of planetary defense, and strengthen a foundation for the Command.
