Kim Do-soo, the general secretary of the UFO Research Society, handed me several books about aliens. Some books introduce the traces of ancient aliens and others describe the missing cases on Earth as UFO phenomena. Some books explain the hypotheses of "parallel universe" and "time machine".

Nobel Prize winner Edward Pursell claimed that the energy needed to travel at near-light speeds was close to infinity, and no civilization could produce that much energy. This means that the chances of aliens coming to Earth from outside the solar system in energy-driven spaceships are close to zero.

So how did the aliens who kidnapped Betty and Barney Hill and showed them an astronomical map in 1964 visit Earth? It was not until 1974 that the map revealed the night sky seen on the Zeta Reticuli planet. The fact that the couple had seen the map 10 years earlier than the astronomers found is a strong proof that they were kidnapped by aliens visiting Earth from outer planet. What kind of energy did the aliens use to reach Earth?

There are people trying to link the disappearance in the human world with aliens or UFOs. Since the 20th century, it has been reported that there were many missing cases not only on the ground but also on the sea. A series of mysterious human disappearances has occurred in the Bennington Triangle, Vermont. And many ships and planes went missing in the Bermuda Triangle and the Dragon Triangle in the south of the Japanese islands.

The Bermuda Triangle is a sea area that overlaps with the Sargasso Sea, which has been called the tomb of the Atlantic for hundreds of years. Five U.S. bombers disappeared in that waters in December 1945 and a rescue plane carrying 13 crew members also disappeared without a trace. There have been numerous unsolved missing cases besides military aircrafts. Many media assumed that there might be a 'Star Gate to the Other World'. Puerto Rico, one axis of the Bermuda Triangle, is famous for its frequent sightings of UFOs and aliens.

The Dragon Triangle is located directly opposite Bermuda, and since 1940s, many ships and planes have disappeared or sunk without trace around Miyake Island. The two triangular waters are very similar in that even U.S. government rescue aircraft and Japanese official investigation ship were also missing. The two areas share common ground in analyzing the cause of the missing cases.

Since then, mystery disappearances have continued to occur around the world. Many of the missing cases were reported in the Michigan triangle, and in 1995, an Indonesian passenger jet disappeared. In 2003, an American Airlines plane was missing after taking off without permission from the control tower of Angola International Airport. In 2014, the Malaysia Flight 370, which was headed for Beijing, was missing after flying in the opposite direction.

Some people try to explain the disappearance with the hypothesis of a 'parallel universe'. They imagine a wormhole may have suddenly opened at the place where a human went missing, taking him or her into a parallel universe. They explain about lost ships and airplanes in the same way.

The parallel universe is one of the hypotheses accepted by quantum physics, based on the argument that all matter can exist in two places at the same time if all the particles that make up the material have the properties of waves, such as light. If the space is infinitely large, the finite array of atoms and molecules can be repeated indefinitely to create a world similar to this world and eventually to copy the same universe. Somewhere in the universe, so to speak, there will be a planet with atoms arranged just like Earth, where everything we see will be replicated.

The contradiction, described in the so-called 'grandfather paradox', can also be resolved simply by the parallel universe hypothesis. Someone went to the past in a time machine, and found that his or her grandfather died in a car accident when he was young. It means that he or she cannot be born in this world. Even in this case, the contradiction is easily solved if his or her grandfather was alive in a parallel universe.
