Two months later....
Kim Hee-yong sat on the swing looking over the streets of her city. The only sound was that of the wind blowing through the many flowers that covered the rooftop and her pencil scratching on paper, as she wrote line after line.
Hee-yong hadn't spoken to Namjoon again since that day in the hospital, not even after Taehyung and Jin had done all they could to persuade her. She wrote everything she needed to say to him in letters. She wrote him almost every day, each letter becoming her own personal outlet, her way to release her problems from the chains of her heart.
"Yongie!" A cute voice chimed as they opened the door leading to Hee-yong's hideout. Park Jimin, Hee-yong's ex-boyfriend, emerged from the stairwell in a plain white tee, with a denim jacket and ripped jeans. His hair was jet black, contrasting the paleness of his skin. Hee-yong was momentarily distracted by the boy's beauty and her words caught in her throat.
"You okay?" Jimin asked as he walked over and sat next to Hee-yong on the swing. The two had gotten extraordinarily close within the span of two months, almost as if nothing had ever happened between them, but Hee-yong still felt the romantic attraction to Jimin, and the pain of their breakup still lingered in her mind and heart.
"Yeah, I'm fine, Chim. What brings you here?" Hee-yong asked, finally snapping out of her daze and shutting her notebook before Jimin could read the contents. Jimin smiled brightly at the girl, his eyes disappearing. The sight of Jimin's smile never failed to bring a smile to Hee-yong's face.
"Well.." Jimin began. Hee-yong rolled her eyes, already knowing he wanted something from her.
"Just spit it out, pabo," she said with a chuckle. Jimin smirked and raised his hands in defeat as he said,
"Okay, okay, chill!" Hee-yong giggled and a sweet smile graced Jimin's face. He found that it was hard to not smile whenever Hee-yong was around. She brought out a happy, smiley side of him that not many others brought out.
"I want you to come hangout with me and some of my friends today," Jimin finally said. Hee-yong groaned obnoxiously, throwing her head back onto the cushion of the swing.
"Which friends?" She asked. Jimin chuckled at his ex-girlfriend.
"The whole gang," he replied. Hee-yong groaned again, knowing exactly who 'the gang' was. Jimin's gang consisted of Hee-yong's brother Seokjin, Jeon Jungkook, Kim Taehyung, Jung Hoseok, and Min Yoongi. Hee-yong had met all of them at some point in her life, since Jin was her brother and even at one point had a tiny rivalry with Yoongi. They'd since become civil and almost friendly with one another, though.
"Please, Yongie," Jimin pleaded, pulling out all the stops with his puppy dog pout. Hee-yong scowled and flicked Jimin's nose.
"Fine, but I'm ditching you for Yoongi," She relented. Jimin, who was still holding his nose in his hand, smiled through the pain and cheered.
"Thanks, Yongie," Jimin chimed. Hee-yong rolled her eyes and stood up, stretching her limbs. The notebook she'd been writing in fell off the swing and landed open on a random page. Hee-yong rushed to pick the notebook up but Jimin caught a glance of the page's contents.
'Dear Namjoon' it said. Jimin's brow furrowed, jealousy bundling up in his gut, but he chose to not confront Hee-yong about it. It was none of his business after all. Hee-yong informed Jimin she was going to go get dressed and Jimin nodded in acknowledgment, watching as Hee-yong's fit figure disappeared into the stairwell. He sighed heavily and dropped his head into his hands.
"Should I even tell her?" He asked himself. The whistle of the wind was the only reply Jimin received. When Jimin and Hee-yong arrived at the restaurant, they could immediately hear the rowdy group of boys they had come to meet all the way from the entrance. One sound in particular, stood out. Jin's iconic windshield wiper laugh. Hee-yong grinned at hearing her brother laugh spastically at some other place in the restaurant.
A hostess approached Jimin and Hee-yong and politely asked how many they'd be dining with. Jimin smiled sweetly, charm radiating off him in waves.
"Actually, we're meeting with the loudest group of people here," Jimin said, chuckling deeply. The hostess batted her eyes and smiled even wider. Hee-yong wasn't sure how it was possible for the woman to smile any wider, but she managed it.
"Follow me," the hostess said, her eyes glued to Jimin. Jimin glanced at Hee-yong and muttered a small 'come on' as he followed after the hostess. Hee-yong scoffed at Jimin's back, disliking the flirtation between him and the much older hostess. Quietly, Hee-yong teased Jimin by saying,
"I can't believe you're into her, I thought you liked being called oppa not adeul." Jimin coughed in surprise, turning back to glare at Hee-yong.
"Pabo!" He exclaimed quietly, making Hee-yong smirk. However, her smirk quickly fell when the hostess stopped at a large table where six men sat, rather than five. Kim Namjoon was now hanging out with the gang, and Hee-yong froze in her tracks as her eyes met his.
"Fuck," Hee-yong cursed.A/N: another short chapter, I'm sorry! I'm really busy with my studies and dance practice right now so it's difficult to get a lot of writing in but I am sincerely trying. I hope you all are having a great night or day, wherever you are.
xx, Angel.
