"Yongie!" Jin's voice sang throughout Hee-yong's apartment, startling the younger sibling awake. Hee-yong peeked her eyes open lazily and mumbled to herself,
"Did I forget to lock my door?" She rubbed her eyes as she heard her brother call her name again, just before he bursted into Hee-yong's room followed by Jimin. Hee-yong wasn't expecting her brother to just barge in and she hadn't had time to cover herself before he and Jimin had entered. Hee-yong was lying in her bed in nothing but her panties and a loose t-shirt, and heat bloomed I'm her cheeks as Jimin scrutinized her.
"Yah! Get out!" Jin said, pushing his friend of Hee-yong's room. Her brother's nagging brought Hee-yong back to her senses and out of the dazed bubble of embarrassment she was just in. She quickly pulled her blanket over her body, and plopped back into her pillows.
"Why are you here so early?" Hee-yong asked, as she closed her eyes. Jin sniggered and at on the bed next to his sister.
"Early? Yongie, it's nearly three in the afternoon," Jin said teasingly. Hee-yong's mouth formed an 'o' shape as she gaped at her brother, her eyes now open wide.
"You're kidding!" She exclaimed. There was no way she had slept for so long. Hee-yong was never one to sleep in very late. She jumped out of her bed and flung her curtains open, only to find a dark sky, not a peak of sun lilting through the clouds yet.
"You liar," Hee-yong hissed at Jin, who began to cackle. Hee-yong stomped back over to her bed, flicked Jin's forehead and picked her phone up off her nightstand. The time read 4:23 AM.
"You monster! What are you doing here at four in the morning and how did you even get in my apartment?" Hee-yong asked dramatically all in one go. Jin was well accustomed to Hee-yong's rapid fire interrogations so he smoothly answered all his sister's questions,
"We're going on a road trip so we have to leave now, and you didn't lock the door." Hee-yong face palmed herself for her stupidity but then she realized what her brother had said.
"Wait, what? Road trip?" She asked. Jin was already standing up, and heading to Hee-yong's closet.
"Your suitcase is in here, right?" Jin asked, but he didn't wait for an answer, he just flung open the closet and jumped in excitement as he saw Hee-yong's purple suitcase sitting in the corner. He began analyzing his sister's clothes, picking what he liked and throwing it into the suitcase messily. Hee-yong picked up her bathing suit that Jin had tossed into the suitcase.
"Why do I need this?" She asked her brother. Jin held a finger up to his lips and glared at Hee-yong.
"All will be answered in due time," he said in a stern voice. Hee-yong snorted loudly at Jin and said,
"You sound like dad would if he was on drugs." Jin pushed Hee-yong away and scowled.
"Would you get some pants on before Jimin goes nuts?" Jin asked, now teasing Hee-yong. The younger Kim sibling scowled at her brother and pulled a random pair of pants from her closet.
"Pabo," she mumbled under her breath and pulled the pants up her legs. Jin sniggered and zipped up the purple suitcase, before he pushed it towards the door.
"So, is it just you, me and Jimin, then?" Hee-yong asked. Jin shook his head and began counting on his fingers.
"You, me, Jimin, Hoseok, Yoongi, Jungkook, Taehyung and Namjoon," Jin said and held up right fingers. Hee-yong groaned, not in the mood to deal with the outgoing group of boys so early in the morning.
"Are you serious right now?" Hee-yong asked, annoyed. Jin grinned at his sister.
"Dead serious," he said.
And so, Hee-yong found herself squished in between Jimin and Namjoon in the back of a weird looking van that she complained endlessly about.
"Whose van is this anyway?" Hee-yong asked. Hoseok's hand raised sheepishly and he smiled at Hee-yong. The girl no longer complained about the van since it was Hoseok's, she felt bad for embarrassing the ray of sunshine.

About an hour and a half later, Hee-yong had almost drifted off to sleep on Namjoon's shoulder when Taehyung suddenly asked, "Wait, where are we even going?" Jimin leaned up in his seat and said in English, "Beach!"
Taehyung looked back at Jimin, confusedly.
"Bitch?" He asked.
"Beach," Jimin said.
"Bitch?" Taehyung asked again. Jimin gave up and leaned back in his seat again. Hee-yong looked at him and busted into laughter. Jimin glared at his ex-girlfriend, but soon a small smile appeared on his lips as well. Taehyung turned around and watched them, still confused as could be, making Hee-yong laugh even harder. Namjoon rolled his eyes but he also couldn't help but smile. Taehyung had a very cute and funny personality and always made everyone around him smile and laugh.
"Yongie!" Jin called from the driver's seat of the van.
"What?" Hee-yong asked. Jin glared at his sister through the rear view mirror.
"I'm older than you, be respectful!" He shrieked. All six of the boys laughed along with Hee-yong, who grinned at her big brother whose eyes had now averted quickly back to the road.
"Yes, oppa?" Hee-yong asked sweetly. A pleased smile tugged on Seokjin's lips and Hee-yong rolled her eyes at her brother.
"Sing for us," Jin demanded. Hee-yong choked on her own saliva.
"Excuse me?" She asked. Jimin nudged Hee-yong in the side with a big smile, clearly he approved of Jin's command. Jin just stayed silently looking at the road and Hoseok, who was in the passenger seat, turned the radio off in anticipation.
"U-um, what?" Hee-yong asked, feeling thoroughly embarrassed. Singing was a secret love she'd harbored throughout her life and she only showed it to her brother, Jimin and Yoongi. None of the other boys had ever heard her singing voice, but the three who had heard it before, smiled at Hee-yong in approval as they waited for her to begin singing.
"Just do it, pabo," Yoongi said in a teasing way.
Hee-yong blushed under the gaze of the beautiful males.
"What should I sing?" She asked. Yoongi grinned from ear to ear, a smile that showed off his pink gums.
"You remember that song we wrote together?" He asked. And yes, Hee-yong remembered. How could she forget? It was the song that caused the rivalry between Yoongi and her. But that is a story for another time.
Hee-yong took a deep breath and nodded before she closed her eyes and let her voice echo into the van.

"I knew it from the start. Saying sorry can't fix a broken heart but I'll still try, try, try. You've been high and you've been low, and life's unfair we both know but I am on your side. I won't let you cry, cry, cry alone.
You wear your heart on your sleeve, for the whole world to see, you got a whole lot of love but you feel so empty. You just don't know how to go on. But I'm here right beside you, my arms are open wide. I can't take it, I hate it when you cry. So just know, you'll never cry alone.
You love everyone who crosses your path, but you hate the face that you have. You put yourself down for all the things you think you lack but you need to know you're worth more than gold. And if you're cold and you feel lonely, just look to the side, I'll be there, standing with you, with tears in my eyes. Because when you cry, when you cry,
You never cry alone," Hee-yong didn't even finish the song before Namjoon abruptly pulled her into his arms. The van went silent, and almost everyone's eyes turned to the pair of embracing people. Jimin bit his lip and looked away, a weird feeling sitting in his gut. He had been just about to grab Hee-yong's hand as she sang, but Namjoon was faster as he took her into a full embrace. Jimin didn't know why that had upset him so much, he didn't have feelings for Hee-yong anymore, that was the whole reason they had broken up a year earlier. So what was the problem? Jimin certainly didn't know. Yoongi felt proud of Hee-yong for singing their song so beautifully. They had written the song very last minute so it wasn't as great as it could've been but Hee-yong's voice always made up for whatever they lacked in the lyrical department.
"Joonie, remove your hands from my sister," Jin said from the front seat, cutting the silence that had fallen over the group. Jin's eyes were still trained on the road, but he had taken a quick glance into the mirror and saw what was going on. His jaw was clenched tightly, and rage suddenly clouded his mind. Namjoon mumbled a quiet apology and released Hee-yong.
"It was just a really great song," Namjoon squeaked. Hee-yong laughed at the boy's awkward response and leaned back into her seat. She didn't feel embarrassed anymore, maybe because no one had said anything about her singing after Namjoon hugged her.
"Pardon?" Jungkook suddenly said, and everyone in the van erupted into laughter. The rest of the ride was light, carefree and fun.
