I didn't know what to say or what to feel, knowing that all of this could have been avoided if I wasn't such a bitch back when I was younger. I only said yes to going out with Drew because I was mad at Ashley over a stupid little fight we had over something incredibly childish.

So when Drew asked me out I said yes and it just went from there, I genuinely started getting feelings for him, he was really sweet and not to mention good looking.

"I-I don't know what to say, I guess I always wondered why we went from best friends to you hating me, I never even thought that it would be over Drew"

"But I still don't understand, you got Drew in the end so why continue?" I added.

"Like I said getting a beating from you was better than losing you completely, I know that no amount of apologies can make up for some of the things I said about you and Jayleigh but I just want you to know I regret everything I ever did or said to you, I should have just gotten over it and been happy for you but I couldn't so I'm sorry I let my feelings for a stupid boy ruin our friendship"

I've never seen her this vulnerable but there's something else she's not telling me.

"There's something else isn't there? Something you're not telling me"

She quickly looked up at me as if to say how did you know.

"We were friends way too long for me not to notice something else is wrong" I added.

"I just had to explain myself and apologise, maybe she won't die hating me as well" she whispered the last part but I definitely heard it.

"Who?" I questioned.

"What?" She looked up wiping her eyes.

"Who hates you?"

"You mean besides you? My mother and father"

"I'm sure they don't hate you"

"When it's the last thing you hear someone say to you, there's no other option but to believe it because they aren't here to tell you otherwise"

"I'm confused, can you explain?" I questioned, she sighed before fiddling with her fingers.

"My parents found out what I had been doing to you, they were disappointed in me and told me to stop, I told them I would but I didn't because that's when you announced that you were a lesbian it only got worse, and once again they found out and my father and I got into a pretty heated argument and the last thing he said was that he didn't raise me to be like that and that he hates me and he will until I change" I nodded understanding so she continued.

"The next day he was in a car crash and died on impact, when I found out I just wanted him to tell me he loves me, just one more time but he couldn't, he left this world hating his only daughter"

"I'm sure he didn't mean it, he probably only said it in the heat of the moment"

"That may be so but it doesn't change the fact that the last thing I heard him say was that he hated me"

"I'm sorry, I didn't know he had passed away"

"You probably did, it was all over the school, you probably just hated me too much to care and I don't blame you"

"That's not true! If I had known I would have made sure that you were okay even if you were the biggest bitch to me I would have because I know how much he meant to you"
