After Kentrell and I left the shooting range we went to grab something to eat then I agreed to go with him to chill with his friends. I was pretty sure that Jamie was gonna be there but all I was gonna do is ignore her because like Kentrell said, her own nigga don't even claim her. Shit, Ben was even trying to talk to me on my first day of school.
After riding for a few minutes, we finally pulled up to a house that seemed to be a very popular hangout spot. There were a couple of cars parked all over the yard and just a small group of boys stood around smoking and drinking. I waited for Kentrell to get out of the car first then I followed him, getting out to follow him up to the concrete porch
"Lil Kentrell" one of the guys that stood around called out, causing us both to look. He had to be in his late 30's, wearing a throwback patriots jersey with a matching snapback, oversized blue jeans and dirty air forces. In his left hand was a cigarette and in his right hand was a red cup
"Stop callin' me that shit Dennis" Kentrell responded as he grabbed my hand while the guy walked over to us. Kentrell mugged him "and you owe me money still"
Dennis looked at Kentrell sideways before laughing, making me cringe a little at his chapped lips. I stepped back some behind Kentrell and I guess he noticed
"Aye. Ima pay you back. You just gotta wait till my check come, you know how shit go"
Kentrell shook his head and squeezed my hand a little before walking off. He continued to hold my hand while I followed him into the house. The scent of weed instantly filled my nose and loud voices sounded through the house. Once the screen door on the house slapped close, it grew quiet
"Jamie go see who that is" I could hear Boomer say. Hearing her name being called made me roll my eyes and Kentrell looked at me
"Don't pay her ass no attention, Ight?"
"Sure"
I followed him as he started off towards the direction of the voices, soon meeting Jamie. She held a Pepsi in her hand and a smile on her face. Her smile instantly went away once she saw me
"You really brought her here? Damn that's wild"
"Jamie don't start that shit" Kentrell spoke up and she rolled her eyes and sipped from her soda
"I'm just sayin' cause you do know Daejah here"
I furrowed my brows in confusion while Kentrell's whole face dropped. Jamie smirked before walking back into the direction she just came from and once she was gone I looked at Kentrell
"Daejah?"
He exasperated deeply and ran his hand over his face. That told me everything I needed to know
"You used to mess with her ain' it? Or are you still messing with her?"
"No, ion fuck with her nomore. I promise" Kentrell assured me. I looked at him for a minute then nodded
"Alright"
We made our way into the kitchen and everybody was sitting around on the counters and tables. Ben, who was busy smoking a blunt, looked over at us first before smiling
"Noel, you decided to come"
Once he said my name, everybody looked over at Kentrell and I. In the kitchen were the guys along with Jamie and a slim brown skin girl, who sat on one of the counters. She must be Daejah. Her smile instantly went away and she put the blunt in her hand to her lips before turning her head the other way
"Why she hea?" Kentrell bluntly asked, pointing at Daejah
"Cause I invited her" Jamie answered. She walked over to Daejah and leaned against the counter beside her
"Don't act like that cause you here with that lil Barbie bitch Kentrell" Daejah spoke, catching my attention
"Ima Barbie bitch" I muttered with a laugh
"No, speak up babygirl. Don't be quiet" Jamie practically yelled, tryina start a whole scene for nothing. Kentrell smacked his lips and dapped the guys up, still not letting go of my hand
Once he got to Ben, he pointed at Jamie "control yo dog"
"That ain my dog" Ben mumbled and looked at me "dont pay Jamie and Daejah no attention. They both mad cause they single"
"Single? Oh you really wanna play ben?" Jamie asked with an attitude. Ben nodded and I laughed. She glared at me then looked at Daejah "let's go outside. People wanna act stupid right now like I won't fuck a bitch up"
Daejah hopped off of the counter, passed the blunt to Jamie but Ben reached over and snatched it
"You'on need this. Bye"
She smacked her lips and muttered something before exiting the kitchen. Daejah slowly followed behind Jamie and glared at me
"Kentrell, don't try to hit me up later when you drop her off at home either"
"Take yo ass on. I ain' worried bout you"
"Mhmm. You say that now" she replied before walking out of the kitchen finally. Kentrell looked at me and I just shook my head at him. I'm tryina be nice right now but I'm not with this disrespect
"Why you still keep that bitch around? Ima shoot her ass one day" Kentrell told ben and Kd started laughing
I remember Kd from the times he would walk around with baby joe everytime he would approach me in the halls. I guess he was like his sidekick or something
"You can't shoot that one yet" Kd warned Kentrell, making him scoff
"At least not for the next 6 1/2 months" Ben muttered, putting the blunt back to his lips. Kentrell immediately shook his head and leaned back against the island that sat in the middle of the kitchen
"outta all the bitches in the school, you got Jamie pregnant nigga"
Ben nodded and Kentrell pulled me back into him then rested his chin on my shoulder
"That's IF he got Jamie pregnant" baby joe chimed in "To be honest. Jamie a hoe and you know it"
Ben smacked his lips and pressed the lit tip of his blunt against baby joe's forehead
"Chill out dumbass"baby joe fussed and punched Ben, who was laughing
"You better hope that ain't yo baby" Kentrell told ben while he wrapped his arm around me. I smiled a little and my phone dinged, indicating that I had a text message

I texted her back then locked my phone. Kentrell grabbed the blunt from boomer and took one long pull
"Aye. Ion trust neither of them bitches so ima need y'all to look after my girl at school"
"Your girl?" I questioned Kentrell, turning to face him and he nodded
"You heard me"
He grabbed my face and started kissing me. After a while I finally pulled away
"Where's the bathroom?" I asked and Kd pointed out of the kitchen
"Go down the hall to the 3rd door on the left"
I thanked him and exited the kitchen. I followed Kd's directions and made it to the door, however it wasn't the bathroom. Instead it was a room and there were two voices on the other side of the door
"Ion know what ima do when this baby come Daejah" Jamie spoke
"Girl you ain't gotta tell him, chill out. Just make sure his ass don't ask for a dna test"
Wow...
Jamie sighed and it got quiet for a minute so I knew that was my cue to walk off. I turned to walk back to the kitchen but I found the bathroom. It was the 3rd door on the right, dumbass.
