"Kd Chill witcho horny ass!" I laughed as I pushed him off of me. Since we got out of school early, he came to chill at the house with me but I was busy venting to him about Noel. I didn't expect Kentrell going to jail to hit her this hard but it did. All she does is sleep or lay up in her room doing god knows what. Every time I try to talk to her about it she always says that she's fine and carries this nonchalant attitude. She don't see anything wrong with her but we all do. Even Dana is concerned about her
"I'm concerned about my sister right now"
"She still crying bout Yb gettin' locked up?"
I shook my head and sat up on the chair "that's the thing. She hasn't cried yet"
"That's Good then"
"No it's not Kd. She's tryina act like shits normal and all that's gonna do is cause her to breakdown one day"
"True. But I mean we can't force her to talk if she don't wanna. But I doubt she'll stay quiet like this for a whole month"
I looked at Kd "one time when we were little before I moved away, Dana ate all of Noel's Scooby snacks and Noel was so mad she didn't talk to anybody for a week"
"Over some Scooby snacks? I'd do the same thing too"
I smacked my lips and slapped his chest which caused him to laugh.
"I'm about to talk to my sister. Fuck you"
"I'm bout to go talk to her too"
I rolled my eyes at him and got up, walking down the hall to the bedroom. Kd followed behind me and playfully pressed himself against me. I elbowed him and opened the door, slowly making my way in.
Noel was laid back on her bed with her hoodie on and her phone was in her hand. It looked like she was playing a game
"Noel, you alright in here?"
She looked up from her phone long enough to nod and continued what she was doing
"Good, well since you Alright can you get out real quick so I can get me some pu-"
I quickly cut Kd off by punching him in the arm. Noel just shrugged and started to get off of her bed
"Where you going? You know not to pay Kd's dumbass any attention, we came in here to talk to you"
She got back in the bed and sat her phone down on her lap, just looking at us. I went and sat on the side of her bed "so that means talk Noel, tell me how you feel"
"There's Nothing to feel so can we just leave this alone" she mumbled "if y'all just need me to get out I will"
"What I need is for you to stop shutting me out and talk to me. I hate you being like this, it's not good at all"
"There's nothing wrong with me Elena. And I know what you're thinking. I'm not acting like this because of Kentrell. I just don't feel like talking. I went the first many years of my life without him so one month won't hurt" she told me with a shrug and Kd scoffed
"You can't do my boy like that"
"Shut up kelldrick! Anyways Noel, back to what I was saying... you didn't know Kentrell then so of course it was easy but now this boy is your everything and you know it"
She bit her bottom lip and looked away.
"If you need to cry. Just go ahead" Kd told her and she frowned up her face while shaking her head
"It's no need to cry. It's only a month right?" She said with a laugh and shrug "could've been worse"
"Right. He could've gotten longer" Kd spoke as he sat on the other side of me "you ain gone be lonely for too long. Ain shit goin' on anyways... well damn, you gone be lonely on Valentine's Day but he'll make it up to you I'm sure"
We both looked at Kd and I slapped his arm
"Really Kd!? YOU gonna be lonely on Valentine's Day you asshole"
"I was just saying" he shrugged and Noel rolled her eyes before getting up and walked out of the room. I mugged Kd and he gave me a cheesy smile
"You real close to being the one in the doghouse this time" I told him as I got up and left the room to go talk to noel
