"Damn Noel, you look good girl!" Oya told me as she recorded me on her snap and I started laughing
"Of course I had to step on a couple of necks for my birthday" I responded before playfully posing
I was finally 19 and I've been in the best mood so far today. My momma brought me the fendi knit sneakers I've been hinting at for the longest so I wore those to school today with a pair of black tights and one of my fendi shirts that paired nicely with my sneakers. My hair was slicked back into a ponytail but due to my hair being so curly, it just looked like one big, curly puffball. If these girls hated me before I know for a fact that they hated me today
"You know a video don't look right if I ain in it" baby joe said as he popped up out of nowhere, jumping in front of me. I frowned up my face and pushed him which made him laugh
"Happy birthday ol rude ass. Ion buy people shit so I hope you take money" he told me as he reached in his pocket and I started smiling, sticking my hand out
"Of course"
He chuckled and slapped a couple of bills in my hand. When I looked down and saw that it was 50 dollars my mouth dropped open
"Oh you really do like me" I said to him while cheesing and hugged him
"No, I just tolerate you. Now back up hamster" baby joe rudely responded and when he saw that he hurt my feelings he burst out laughing
"Noel, my cousin said happy birthday lil Yb. What is Yb?" Oya asked as she read from her phone screen
I rolled my eyes "That's kentrell's nickname. Tell him I said thank you"
"Don't roll yo eyes like that. Tryina act like you'on like being called lil Yb"
I made a face at baby joe and pushed him upside the head. I haven't seen Kentrell all day , but this morning he did send me this really cute birthday text. I must admit the boy is trying but I'm not giving in no time soon
"Noel! That you?" I could hear Kd yell as he and Elena made their way towards us. The one class Elena and I didn't share, she shared with Kd.
"Kelldrick" a teacher called out from down the hall, making both of them stop. The teacher motioned for Kd to come to him, causing him to smack his lips and mutter something before turning around and walking back in the direction he just left. Elena shook her head and laughed while continuing her walk over to us
"That boy stay in trouble"
"What that nigga did now?" Baby joe asked
Elena shrugged "Same as usual, let the teacher tell it. Being the class clown, picking at the teacher, blurting out rude comments and the list goes on and on"
I shook my head and Elena looked at me "so you thought about where you wanted to eat tonight?"
"No. I don't know any places around here" I sighed and looked at Oya "you know any places?"
"Girl no"
"Damn you going out for yo birthday and ain invite us?" Baby joe asked and I smacked my lips
"I told y'all about this yesterday"
"Told us about what?" Ben asked as he walked up to us with some girl by his side that obviously wasn't Jamie. He handed me a gift bag and I smiled
"Happy birthday Noah" he told me, trying to be funny
"Real funny. Thank you Benjamin"
"Happy birthday" the girl told me in the kindest voice and I smiled at her
