Chapter 14: Dating Advice

After class ended. Shoji approached the boys of Class 1-A. "Hey, guys?" He asked, getting all of their attention, except Bakugo's.

"What's up, Shoji?" Midoriya asked.

"I was wondering if you guys can help me with something," Shoji says to them.

"We'll always help you no matter what, Shoji!" Iida concurred. "Now what is it you need help with?"

"I... I need advice on..."

"Just spill it, damn it!" Bakugo growled at Shoji.

"I wanna ask Laura out on a date," Shoji answered.

Most of the boys gasped in surprise while Todoroki just blinked a few times and Bakugo's eye twitched.

"W-Wait, you like Laura?" Kaminari asked. Shoji nodded.

"Of course you'd fall for someone as strong as Laura! How manly!" Kirishima gave Shoji a thumbs up.

"Is it because she has nice breasts?" Mineta asked. Iida squished Mineta's cheeks to keep him from talking any further.

"So, how should I ask her out?" Shoji asked them.

"I don't know," Shoto shrugs. "I don't know much about this."

"I don't think any of us asked anyone out," Sero said. "Have you guys?"

"Does it count if the girl asks me out?" Shoto asked. "And what does it mean to 'ask someone out'?"

"I think I should ask the girls," Shoji scratches his head.

"You sure you wanna ask them?" Kaminari asked. "Hagakure and Mina are gossip type."

"They can't be that bad," Shoji crossed his arms.

Later

"OMG!" Mina exclaimed loudly. "You're in love with Laura?!"

Shoji was wrong. They are that bad. He doesn't want to be rude and tell them that, it's just hard to handle the teasing from Ashido and Hagakure.

"Now, now, quit teasing Shoji kun." Yaoyorozu chuckled softly. Shoji felt awkward around the girls and felt regretful for asking them for dating advice.

Later

"Ooooo~ who's the boy?~" Mariko asked teasingly to Laura. Laura blushes a bit and glares at her.

"Can you not tease me about this for one minute?" She pleads, "and his name is Shoji, by the way." Mariko giggles at Laura.

"You came to the right person, Laura," Mariko says pridefully.

Laura sighs. "I feel like I didn't." Mariko pouts at Laura.

"Don't make me mad, Laura," Mariko says as the girl sighs. Laura looks at her.

"Mariko, I just wanna know what to wear, that's it," Laura says. "I don't wanna seduce him. I just want this first date to go well."

Mariko places her hand on her cheek. "That's pretty boring, Laura chan."

"Eh?"

Later

"These are nice clothes you bought," Mariko says, looking at Laura's wardrobe. "Did you buy them because Shoji likes them on you?" She looks at the girl with a smirk

"No..." Laura lied, a blush appearing on her cheeks as she tries to hide them from Mariko.

Mariko smirks at Laura. "Seems like you're already catching feelings for this guy," She said teasingly to Laura.

Laura tried to ignore her as she puts on an outfit. She wore a casual yellow dress and a jean jacket with converse shoes. "I'll go with this."

Mariko looks at her and smiled. "You look great." She pats her head. Laura pouts at her from the head-patting. "You're still young, Laura. Even if you don't age like Logan, you should cherish your youth while you still can."

Laura smiled at Mariko and hugged her. "Thanks, Mariko."

Mariko looks down at Laura and smiled. "Oh, makes sure this boy won't get touchy on your first date."

"Mariko!"

Mariko laughs. "Sorry, sorry. Bad joke."

Later

"And NEVER mention about her family, ESPECIALLY her dad and mom, got it!" Mina asked Shoji in a loud tone, pointing a ruler at a
whiteboard.

Shoji was sitting down on a chair and nodded. "Yes." He says calmly.

"Gah! He doesn't seem serious about this at all!" Hagakure whined.

Uraraka chuckled softly. "Actually..." she looks at Shoji who's hands was trembling. "He's either nervous or excited. Can't tell mostly because of his mask covering his mouth."

"For his first date, I think you two are being too hard on Shoji." Yaoyorozu says.

"Well it's better for him to be prepared than mess up," Asui said.

Shoji stood up from his seat. "I'm ready." He said, his eyes showing confidence.

Jiro chuckles softly. "Well, you go have fun," she said. "Try not to screw it up."

Shoji nodded at Jiro before leaving the room they were in.
