Liz's POV
I was so tired. I could just sleep all day. And the bed I laid in... it was so comfy. Since when do I have such a comfy bed?
Wait... Since when do I have a bed?
I opened my eyes. It wasn't very bright so I could instantly see the things around me. I was facing a window. It was already dark outside but it wasn't even past midnight yet. I recognized the windows from Derek's place.
I was at Derek's place.
Why was I at Derek's place?
I thought really hard what had happened and suddenly it all came back. The weird blue midget, his glowing purple eyes, the pain, the 'medicine' that actually made it worse. But after that it stopped. Did I pass out?
I turned around and saw Derek sitting on the side of the bed. I kinda freaked out since I didn't know that he'd be there. He felt me turn around or my heartbeat rise and quickly turned around.
His eyes were filled with pure relieve and he smiled at me.
"Did I pass out?" I asked with a weaker voice than I'd thought I would have. My throat was dry and I was hungry.
His smile disappeared soon after I spoke and he looked concerned. "Yeah, for three days."
My eyes widened. I was out for three days?! How did I even do that?! Why am I still tired after three days of sleeping?
Derek stood up from the bed and turned to me. "What do you want to eat and drink?"
I instantly freaked out. Last time I drank something, I vomited black blood and the pain got worse. I did not wanted to repeat that .
"Uh..." I began but Derek noticed my hesitation.
"Liz, I'll make something. You have to drink. You'll die if you don't. Plus, the antidote got rid of the poison in your system."
He walked off to the kitchen. He was out of view. I wanted to focus on his heartbeat but I couldn't get the energy to do it.
I yawned and laid my head down again. I was drifting off to sleep when Derek walked in. Before I even opened my eyes I smelled the food. My stomach began to growl and I instantly shot up.
Derek was holding a glass of water and a plate with a simple ham sandwich. I smiled at the thought of food and eagerly ate it when he gave it to me. Then I saw him holding the glass of water.
"You have to drink it." He stated strictly.
Maybe I can just fake it?
"I'm gonna stay to see you drink it."
Damn. He knows my ways.
"Fine." I finally gave in.
I got the glass from him and slowly put it at my mouth. I nervously gulped one time and quickly drank the whole glass. It helped a little. I wasn't feeling as parched as before.
I waited a full minute before calming down but nothing happened.
"See? The poison is gone." Derek stated calmly.
I looked up into his eyes. He looked really relieved but when you looked a bit closer you could see that he was also exhausted.
I gave my glass back to him and he put it away. When he came back I'd managed to sit on the side of the bed.
"What are you doing?" he asked me confused.
"It's your bed. You look exhausted."
"So do you." he argued.
