I knew what the old Hale house was less than a minute away if I'd hurry. Thankfully I managed to throw her over my shoulder and walk at a pretty decent speed. When we'd arrived, I'd thrown her on the floor and stood in one of the darker corners of the room out of habit.

She didn't look like much. Her soft breaths were clearly audible in the silent room.

Before I could get too distracted, I glanced around to find anything useful. My gaze fell on the already torn curtains. Derek wouldn't mind, right?

I pulled out my claw on my index finger and cut off the bottom of the curtains. It had been too long anyway so it still covered the entire window after I'd taken the bottom. The cloth was sturdy and in a decent state considering that it had been in an abandoned burned down house for quite some time. I tried to tear the cloth by pulling on both sides but it didn't tear in two.

"Ugh..." I heard the girl groan behind me.

I growled lowly to get her to focus. Her breathing became even faster and she tried to roll to her back.

Within a second I jumped next to her and slammed my converse down on her half-turned rib cage. Tears sprung in her eyes as she gasped for air. Her hands instantly shot to her lower ribs and covered her stomach in the process.

I forced her to lay back on her stomach and ripped her arms away from her ribs. She winced at every move but I couldn't care less. She wouldn't escape on my watch. I sat on her back as I began to tie her arms together with the curtains I'd just cut off.

"Are you gonna kill me?" She choked out as the tears were streaming down her face.

"Not yet."

"Please... Please don't kill me." she begged as I turned around to tie her feet with the leftover curtain.

"Save your breath. That's not up to me."

A sob escaped her lips and she ignored my advice. "Please! I... I can't die!"

I groaned in annoyance as I tied the last knot and stood up. She kept begging but she soon found out that I was ignoring her. Without taking my eyes off her, I sat on the couch and leaned on my knees.

An awkward silence fell as she tried to stop crying and I kept observing her. She looked around the same age as me. Maybe a year or two older but definitely around the same age. Her long black hair had red tips and was all over the place. Her bangs were long and were getting in her eyes causing her to get a bit teary eyed again on accident. Some tattoos were peeking over the edge of her coat and it looked like she had more than what was visible at the moment.

After a few minutes she'd calmed down a bit and tried a new approach. "You and I aren't so different." she said calmly.

"I know."

My comment threw her off since she'd obviously expected me to disagree. That's the problem with people; they all believe that they should be good all of the time and deny all the bad things they'd done. Well guess what? The bad and good combined is what makes you you. Don't try to evade the bad.

"Then you know that I had no choice!" she said desperately.

I ignored her again. It wasn't like I was gonna set her free. No way in hell.

After a moment of silence she spoke up again. "What are we waiting for?"

"Who."

"What?"

"We're waiting for a who."

"Well who are we waiting for then?" she asked annoyed.

I grinned evilly as I saw an opportunity to scare her. "We're waiting for a very little part of my pack-"
