I was sleeping a dreamless dream when suddenly I got attacked. Someone jumped on my stomach and held a fist up. I blinked a couple of times to get my vision back to normal from just waking up. I'd instantly placed my arms up in defense and my legs had also shot up but I couldn't use them because of the person sitting on top of me.

"Oh... Sorry!" Liz said and quickly lowered her fist. "I thought... Uh... I didn't remember where I was."

I sighed in relief and looked up at her. "Are you okay?"

"I think we both know the answer to that." she said with a sad smile "But sure. I'm fine."

She tried to get off my stomach but I stopped her by placing my hand on her knee. Some feint light peeked through the window and I studied her. She'd removed her long shirt somewhere through the night, leaving her with only her sleeveless shirt. Her frame was boney but she wasn't as thin as she could've been. Instead of a healthy amount of fat you could easily see some muscles and some bones. She had dark circles under her eyes and still looked tired.

"How'd you sleep?"

"Better. Much better. Sorry for waking you up like this though..."

"It's fine. I'm just happy you looked who it was before you acted."

She gave me an apologetic smile and relaxed a bit more. There were so many things I wanted and should ask her. Did you kill your father? How did you escape? Why were all your injuries on your left side? So many things I should just ask right now.

But I couldn't.

Liz was finally back! Asking something like that could scare her off. What if she didn't kill her father and she gets offended?

But what if she has killed him?

Without even thinking about it my fingers traced Liz's new tattoo. The top was one continued black line and it slowly faded out at the bottom. The line just slowly faded into dots as if it crumbled into nothing.

"What do you think about it?" she asked as her heart began to beat a little faster.

"I like it. It looks beautiful. When did you get it?"

"A few days after the full moon." she said with a distant expression.

"How did you know how to get one without it healing on its own?" I questioned. Any sleep I might've still had was now gone. Would she give it up? Something about what happened to her? Liz stared straight into my eyes as if she was looking for something and slowly opened her mouth.

"There was someone who knew how to do it."

She doesn't wanted to give it up. Why would she hold it back? Doesn't she trust me? Is she protecting our feelings? Is she protecting her own feelings? Is she protecting her father? Why would she do that?

Liz looked at me with her lips in a firm line. She was scared that I was gonna question her any further. I mentally scolded myself for having to postpone it but accepted that it was gonna take a while for her to talk.

Liz's stomach growled loudly. She looked down while biting her lip from embarrassment. I just grinned.

"Let's get you some breakfast."

=---=---=---=

I'd taken Liz's advice and gave her nothing more than a bit of cereal. Not even enough to fill half the bowl. I felt guilty when I gave her that little but Liz reminded me that a little in her stomach was better than a lot out.

I sat on the opposite side of the table trying to think of ways to start a conversation. Suddenly my phone buzzed and the screen lid up.

We'll be over in half an hour -Emberly

I silently groaned as I remembered that I'd promised Emberly and Damien to train with them. When I looked up I saw Liz staring at me with curious eyes.

She doesn't even know that Oliver's dead yet!

"So uh... When you were away, stuff happened here too."

"Yeah Stiles told me that there was this murderer who's very good at hiding himself. And that you guys basically have nothing on him." she said as she took an other bite of her cereal.

"Well yes... But that's not all."

Liz looked at me, waiting for me to continue.

"Emberly killed Oliver."
