Emberly got really tired fast. After 10 minutes of her trying to attack Derek, she gave up.

From what I saw, she never got a hit on him. In the end she groaned out of annoyance and dropped to the ground, heavily panting as if she wasn't used to working out. She gave Derek a cold look as she stood up and got her things. I guess she took this a bit too personal.

I decided to be a good person and walk her out. As soon as I'd caught up to her she gave me some sort of mean cold look.

"Why didn't you help me?"

"Huh? With what?" I asked confused.

"When Derek began to attack me."

"You're not serious, are you?" She stayed silent "That was the training. I don't know if they've told you but in the real world werewolves have to fight for their existence. And by the way, you chose to help the already overpowered Derek in stead of me when it actually wasn't your fight to begin with."

Emberly loosened up. "Well, when I was picking sides I just had to think about who I liked more... And no offense but I barely know you."

"You also barely know Derek."

"Well, Derek and I have a connection. There were sparks flying when we first met." she stated dramatically with some sort of dreamy look.

Does he know that as well? I thought sarcastically. "Riiight."

She huffed "Like you would know what it's like. I bet you've never even been in love." she said casually as she kept walking.

Ouch that hurt. I stopped walking next to her and just stared straight ahead. Emberly didn't notice it until she was already 3 meters away.

"Huh? What's wro-"

"You know where the door is. I gotta go, bye." I said quickly and walked back, leaving Emberly completely confused.

As soon as I walked in the trainings room, I saw Derek looking worried.

"Are you okay?" He asked softly.

"Did you hear?"

"Yeah." He said while nodding.

"I'm okay." I said while looking down "It just brings back some memories."

"Hey." Derek said to get my attention "You're with us now. We won't let anything like that happen again. You're safe now."

I looked up in his eyes. Both of us had shifted back a while ago. You don't even know how much I wished that was true, I thought. "Are you sure? Because that isn't what you've taught Emberly today." I said with a small smile.

He grinned back. "Come here." Derek said as he pulled me in for a hug. "You'll be fine." He mumbled in my hair.
