I allowed myself to sleep in the next day. It did not go as planned. I woke up about an hour after my usual time with a slight panic attack. I guess old habits die hard.

I decided to be responsible and take a look at my homework. Math, physics and chemistry was finished within 20 minutes. That was longer than it should've been but the chemistry teacher apparently liked to give a shitload of homework.

Then came history. I opened my book and stared at the pages. It was about the American civil war. In Holland you mostly learn about European and Dutch history so I had no clue what they were talking about.

Well it wasn't like I had no clue. The book just assumed that you knew certain details, which I didn't.

I looked at my assignments for the fifth time and sighed. I'm never gonna get this done if I don't ask for help. But who to ask?

I could ask Lydia, she's smart and will most definitely know the answers. But I don't feel like waiting the entire day. Stiles's dad isn't home.

Derek or Peter should know it. They both graduated high school and are most likely at Derek's place right now.

I got some clothes to cover most of the marks up and began to walk to Derek's place. No one noticed anything when they walked passed me on the street, so I assumed that I did a good job of covering up.

When I reached Derek's loft two scents filled my nose; Derek and Oliver. I didn't open the door immediately since I didn't wanted to interrupt awkwardly. Instead, I focused on their conversation.

"But you don't know my job!" Oliver exclaimed. "It's very stress full and you have to deal with a lot of frustrating customers."

"Read an anger management book." Derek said annoyed like he'd said it a million times.

"But that's weird. I might run into colleagues at the library and they'll judge."

Oliver went quiet for a second. "Uh... Yeah... I can't go to the library and... uh..."

Oliver kept stuttering. I focused my ears for anything suspicious. Oliver's heartbeat went up. He was nervous. Suddenly the door opened, revealing a tense and angry Derek.

"Uh hi." I said awkwardly while looking up to his face.

"Oh." he said and let me in. "We thought it might've been someone else."

Oliver perked up when he saw me. Something I thought was weird since I hadn't spoken to him since I tried to kill him. Under the influence of the full moon of course.

"Well sorry to leave you guys here, but I have to go." Derek said as he got his car keys.

Oh this was a bad idea. I shouldn't have come. I don't like Oliver. But I can't just say 'oh never mind then' right? I mean, that's awkward... right?

We said our goodbyes and Derek left. Oliver didn't waste any time and immediately began to talk to me.

"Hi, I've been wanting to talk to you."

"Uh... okay?" I replied awkwardly while crossing my arms. I chose not to sit next to him, I just kept standing.

"So... Derek told us."

I looked down at my feet. I knew he did, I just didn't wanted to talk to people about it. "What did he tell you?"

"Your story. He said that you've had a rough childhood. That your parents didn't care for you. That your dad beat you up."

"That's the shortest summary of my life so far." I said more to myself than to Oliver.

Oliver noticed that I didn't wanted to talk about it and changed the subject.

"I wanted to ask you something." I looked up "Could you... teach me?"

"Uh what?"

"Teach me how to be a werewolf!"

"What... How... Why would you ask me? Derek and Peter have been wolves their entire lives."

"I've seen you fight. You looked awesomely terrifying. Plus, you didn't even wince when I slashed you on my first full moon."

"You do know that that was my first full moon as well, right?"

"Exactly! That's why it is so awesome!" he exclaimed excitedly. "So how did you do it? How can you turn off your pain?"

"By being beat up your entire life. And it doesn't turn off." I said.

"Oh." The atmosphere turned gloomy but Oliver did stop asking questions.

"Do you know anything about the American civil war?" I asked out of the blue.
