"Aren't you hungry?"Peeta asked noticing the empty clean dish in front of his escort as Effie looked up at that, sending a small smile to him. "I'm not that hungry yet."She answered befpre leaving the table as Peeta watched after her before his gaze went to Haymitch who sat sunk back in his chair, a bottle of Whiskey in front of him as he silently nipped at some piece of bread. Katniss had tried to eat something but had pushed it away afterwards. "Don't you find that Effie is acting strange?"He asked as Katniss looked at him confused while Haymitch did absolutely nothing...

The next time Peeta noticed that Effie hadn't touched her plate was after they had visited District 11. She had been absently looking at her notebook before leaving the room, murmuring something about checking schedules. Peeta's eyes wnent again to his mentor who hadn't noticed it again.
"I'm gonna talk with her."He announced surprising Katniss as he meft her behind at the table with Haymitch. He knocked three times on the door of Effie's room before it opened as she peeked outside. "Peeta, what are you doing here?"She asked surprised, opening the door more. "Are you alright, Effie? You seem so deep in thoughts that you forget to even eat."He explained to her worried in his voice. "I could help you."He added as she immediately shook her head. "Oh no, that is not...no you don't have to do that."She added with a small smile. "I'm just trying to work some things out but I'll pay more attention next times."

Effie hadn't thought that Peeta would actually notice it but she thought she got the idea that was forming in his head out of it. Her eyes went back to the notebook as she opened it to immediately land on the article she had found in a magazine about her. They were saying she seemed to have gained some weight which was rumored by the escort of district 11 who liked to put some shade on Effie's name but this time she really got under her skin. She ate in complete silince before excusing herself feeling now another gaze also on her as Haymitch watched her curious. She went to her room straight away entering the bathroom as all the food she had eaten left her body again. She was disgusted with herself... She entered her room again looking at the large mirror next to her closet as she stripped down her clothes staring at her almost naked body, poking her sides to touch bone almost immediately as her hand went now to her belly. Was she fat?
Her train of thoughts got interupted when there was a knock on the door as she quickly grabbed a bathrobe slipping in it before opening the dopr to find Haymitch standing there. "Peeta and I had a talk."was all he said before he pushed the door more open so he could enter leaving her no choice as he sat down onto her bed. His eyes went to the dress she had been wearing before going to the bathrobe. "What is bothering you, sweetheart?"He asked as she sighed at that. "Am I fat, Haymitch?"She asked bluntly as his eyebrows shut up at that. "Fat?"He repeated as she nodded her head at that. "Did I gain weight?"She asked opening the bathrobe as he looked at her, his eyes traveling over her body. "You're perfect, Princess."He said taking her hand in his as he pulled her closer towards him. "You're the sexiest person that is alive."He added with a smirk as she blushed at that. "Don't say something that ridiculous."She muttered as he laid his hands on her waist. "Well if you're not wearing any paint on your face of course."He said feeling how she looked down at him. "But you're god damn beautiful, Effs."
