~Keith's POV~
I was running after that whole thing with my knife. As I was, something caught my eye, a familiar face among the crowd, one I didn't think I'd see again. My pace slowed, coming to a stop. He looked up from the pendent that he'd been studying. His mismatched eyes locking with mine for a moment, and I knew it was true. "(Y/N)..." I mumbled. Slowly and almost as though I had no control of my own, I approached him. Our eyes never broke from each other. When I reached him, I felt as though I could cry, "(Y/N)... you're okay." He tilted his head to the side, a confused look on his face, "I'm sorry... do I know you?" I took a sharp breath, and grabbed his shoulders, "(N/N) it's me. Keith." I could see he started to look a little uncomfortable. "I-I'm sorry... If I knew you I probably don't remember..." My eyes went wide, "What do you mean?" (Y/N) looked down, shrugging my hands off his shoulders, "I don't remember anything since I crushed my ship... Back during a mission with my brother."
Before I could ask anymore questions, a voice yelled out, "(Y/NNNNN)!!!" Both of us turned. The familiar half Altean we had met out the blade outpost was running towards us. He quickly engulfed (Y/N) in a bone crushing hug. "I told you to say put. Why did you run off?! You had me worried." Kiren pulled back, examining (Y/N) every feature of the boy. "Sorry Kiren... I got bored." The older sighed, shaking his head, "You act like you still eleven." (Y/N) sighed, looking down slightly, "In my last memory, I was eleven." I cleared my throat catching both boys attention, "Ah! Keith! Hunk said you were here. (Y/N), this is the Keith I mentioned earlier. The current red paladin of Voltron." My old friend nodded, turning to me and smiling, "Kiren said that you and someone named 'Shiro' knew me and my brother. I'm sorry, but I really can't remember anything about either of you." His smile turned into a frown, "I've tried... but all I get are headaches... I don't know how I lost them. I just hope I can get them back."
I nodded, slowly. Taking in the information being given to me. My best friend, my crush, had lost all memory of the times we had spent together. Of his half-brother. Of his friends. "You two should come back to the castle." I suggested. (Y/N) looked confused, and Kiren shock his head. "Keith, you saw what happened the last time Allura saw me. I don't think it's a good idea." I looked at him with an almost pleading expression, even without his memories, I wanted (Y/N) back on the castle. I wanted to know that he was safe. That he was alive. "Look, the others are worried about him too, Shiro especially. And maybe we can help find a way to get his memories back." Kiren opened his mouth, but (Y/N) placed a on the older boy's shoulder, "Kiren... maybe he's right. Maybe being around the people I've forgotten will help me remember. Please." The Altean boy looked as though he wanted to protest, but instead he sighed, "Fine," He look at me, "We'll go get my ship and meet you at the castle. You're going to have to let us in. I sure Coran will listen." I nodded. Looking at (Y/N) one more time before turning to walk away. However, I stopped feeling two arms wrap around my body. "I'll see you soon Keith. So, don't look so sad." I smiled a little, leaning back for a moment before (Y/N) removed his arms and I walked away. Happy to know he was alive.
~(Y/N)'s POV~
Kiren and I were back in his ship, approaching a giant flying castle. The half Altean had told me, it was a castle developed by his people. Currently, the last two living Alteans were inside, one hating him with every fiber of his being, the other, though weary, still looked at him as he had all those years ago. It took a moment before we were let inside. The people who greeted us looked familiar to me, but whenever I tried to identify why, pain would interrupt my thoughts. The first one I saw was Keith. The second a ginger haired male and the third an older man with a scar across his nose. As I watched them get closer, part of me was happy to see them, part of me felt guilty, and the last part of me felt scared. Scared that I'd never remember them, scared that, that part of my life was so far gine that I'd never get it back. Scared that, no matter what I did, I'd never be the person they saw when they looked at me, because I could no longer remember that person.
So..... I was no longer that person.
And I might never be that person again.

Hey there! It's been awhile.
Sorry about the lack of updates, but I've had several assessments due recently.
From my English speech, math assignment, legal exam, ancient history exam, art theory and portfolio, and film case study, things have been a little busy. But the holidays are only a two weeks away, so I may have more time then.On a different topic, remember how I did the QnA thing at the of the other book? Well you can still ask questions even now.
But, for now, I shall leave you with this chapter.
farewell.
