The next room was a little different from the past two. Lance was chained by his ankle to the ground in a small pit. He looked up seeing us, "Hey! Could I get a little help?!" He called out. Hunk, Kiren and Pidge were the first ones to get to his side. Shiro followed them, I waited by the edge, seeing the pipes that went around the edge, I already had a guess as to what this would do. "Ava! Hurry up with the rules so that way I can stop you from drowning Lance!" The five in the pit all looked up at me in shock, "WHAT?!" They all yelled. I looked down and shock my head.

"You already know the main rules... no power etc, etc. But, here is your clues for this one." She clicked her fingers and a puff of smoke appeared in front of me. An open box filled with multiple items sat in front of me. As soon as it was, water began to enter the pit. I heard all of them panic. "Everyone out of the pit! It's to dangerous!" Hunk, Pidge and Shiro, though hesitant, listened to me. Kiren shook his head, "I'm staying here! You focus on getting the key." I frowned but nodded, I had a feeling that this wasn't going to end well.

I quickly knelt down and began to shift through the items. Gold, jewels, toys, books. None of it seemed to have any connection to everything else in the box. As time passed, I began to panic. I had no idea what it meant and I knew Lance would die if I didn't figure it out. "F*ck it!" My eyes went wide as I looked down. The water was already up to Lance's chest, and was continuing to rise. Kiren looked more frustrate then I was, he raised his hand, his blade in it. I gasped, quickly standing up, "Kiren! Don't--" It was to late. As the older half breed raised his hand in order to try and cut the chain that bound Lance, there was a flash of light.

I watch in horror as half of Kiren's arms detached from the rest of it. Falling into the water along with his blade. He screamed, and stumbled into Lance, breathing heavily. I looked over at the other three paladins who stood their shocked, "Someone get him out!" Shiro was the first to break from his trance. The black paladin leaped into the pit, quickly made his way over to Lance and the injured male. Lance shakily handed Kiren to Shiro, the blue paladin's expression was a mix of fear, panic and guilt. I took a shaky breath, turning back to the box.

At the very bottom of it was a looked compartment. I pulled my blade from the shadows. Ava only said we couldn't use our powers on to directly free the paladins. She said nothing about using them to by pass some of her tasks. I took a quick glance at the others. Shiro, Pidge and Hunk were doing their best to try and stop the bleeding from Kiren's arm and the water had just risen above Lance's head. Turning back, I stabbed though the compartment, pulling the splintered wood away to reveal a hand full of old drawings. "Greed!" I screamed, A key appearing from a puff of smoke.

I didn't have much time to process what I was doing. I grabbed the key and dived into the water. I swam my way to Lance who was there, struggling to hold his breath. I wasted little time in unlocking his chain, grabbing Kiren's blade from the severed part of his arm, before grabbing Lance and making our way to the surface. Both of us gasped. Lance coughing out the water he had swallowed. I helped him to the side of the pit and out of the water. Hunk ran over to us, helping us out as well. "Kiren..." Lance mumbled. Stumbling over to the other male.

I walked over as well. The half Altean had passed out, whether from the shock or blood lost, I wasn't sure. His blood was pooling on the ground, Lance looked guilt ridden. The blue paladin knelt beside him. I reached into the shadows, pulling out a first aid kit and handed it to him, "Take this and get Kiren to the castle." They looked at me confused. I took a deep breath, one of my eyes turning pitch black, a faint dark blue light surrounding me. I held up my hands, opening a shadow portal thing, "Go!" I called out, my voice slightly distorted, "Take Kiren, I'll get Keith." Shiro nodded, "Let's go." Hunk and Pidge were the first to go through. Shiro picked up Kiren following the yellow and green paladins. Lance looked distracted as he slowly walked towards it, the first aid kit still in hand,

"Lance." He looked at me, and I smiled a little, "He'll be okay. Don't blame yourself, just help him get to the castle. Help save him." The blue paladin nodded, guilt was still present in his eyes, but determination was now also present, as he hurried through. I closed it, stumbling back. The light fading and my eye returning to normal. I sighed, walking back over to the box I pulled out the drawings. Smiling a little at the memories from when they were made. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. I told you the rules big brother. He should have listened, you know how much I hate cheaters... but you know the one thing I hate more then a cheater?" I looked behind me, another door appearing. I shoved the drawings into the shadows, approaching the final hall.

"The thing I hate more then Cheaters... is traitors..."
