The red lion arrive at the castle before us. Ava knew it had due to the fact that her clone had almost immediately been shot by Lance. Knowing this I prepared myself for the chaos that would ensue once we got back to the castle. I open communications to Allura once we had gotten in range, "Get a pod ready. Keith's pretty banged up. Also, don't panic when I land." I turned it off before they could respond and turned to Ava, "Stay behind me." She nodded as I landed the ship.

Allura, Coran and the paladins all rushed to the hangar. I picked up Keith and stepped outside, Ava right behind me. When they saw me they all smiled, however those smiles dropped and their weapons were drawn as soon as they notice Ava, "What is she doing here?!" Lance called out. A deadly glare directed at the younger girl behind me. Ava wasn't phased and rest her head on my shoulder, "What? Can't I follow my big brother to meet his friends and run away from the empire?" Allura, Coran and Lance were all shocked. I guessed Shiro and Kiren had probably explained it to Hunk when we were still back in the halls.

"I'll explain later," I started, "And none of you are to touch her. I'll deal with it after, right now, Keith needs a pod." The red paladin groaned, Coran seemed to break from his surprise first. Gesturing for me to follow him. As I did, Ava stayed behind me. Once we arrived in the pod room, I place Keith in one of them and stepped back. I let a sigh escape my lips as I rest my hand against the teal shield, "It's okay... you're okay..." I mumbled. I turned to look at the other pod in use. Kiren's expression was pained, half his left arm gone, and the stump that remained bandaged. As I stared, I felt someone hug my arm, burring their face in my shoulder. "I'm sorry big brother..." I smiled a little. I know my sister well, and I knew she couldn't always control her magic, especially when it came to her games. That's why the rules were so important, once you stepped into one of Ava's games, even if unwillingly, you were bound to them.

"It isn't entirely your fault. I should have explain the situation to him better. You can't control what happened." She nodded, before her head shot up. "Noxus and Cain! they could make your friend an arm!" I looked down at my sister and laughed, "That's great! Guess he's the next one I need to find and convince, huh?" She nodded, "Yeah! I'm sure he'd be happy to see you again. He missed you and Izaya a lot when you left." I messed up her her, "I'm going to get our siblings back to how we were before Ava... I promise." My sister playfully shoved me, a smirk on her lips, "That's a big promise brother. The others may not be as easy to convince as I was." I nodded, "I know... and I don't blame them if they choose to hate me, but that won't stop me from trying. Now come on, you should rest, you used quiet a lot of magic today."

Ava smiled, yawning a little. She took my hand as I lead her to my room. I laid my sister down in the bed, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead, but before I left, she spoke. "Where's Iza?" I looked down at her, "I'm not sure... I don't have any memory of the last few years..." My sister frowned, "Why?" I laughed, sitting down beside her and explain what I did know. That Izaya and I, after leaving them, had joined a rebellion. That we had crushed on a planet during a mission and the next thing I could remember, I was trapped in a cell by our father only to be rescued by Kiren and find out I had friends from a planet I don't even remember going to. Ava hummed, taking in the information, "Do you think Izaya is safe?" I laughed, and nodded, "Yeah... I know he is. I know if something happened to him. Light and shadow are forever linked after all." I stood up and walked to the door, "Now get some rest. I have to talk to the others."

With that, I left the room and walked to the the living room type area. The uninjured paladins and Alteans all sat around impatiently. Lance was the first to notice me enter the room, "Why did you bring the psychotic chick to the castle?!" I took a deep breath, "She my little sister Lance... I could abandon her a second time." The blue paladin stood up, obviously not happy with my reason, "She almost killed us, she put Keith into that condition and cut of Kiren's arm!" I glared at him, "Lance. Sit down and I'll explain to you why I can't entirely blame these event on her." Lance went to argue further, but Shiro placed a hand on his shoulder, "Let's hear him out." Begrudgingly, the blue paladin sat down.

I sighed, taking a seat at the end of the seats. "Thanks Shiro." I rest my chin on my hands, "I know what you all just went through... there aren't words to describe it... but please, please try to keep an open mind." I looked at the paladins. Pidge and Hunk looked skeptical, Lance looked pissed and Shiro's expression told me to continue, "Ava... is a year younger then me. She's my little sister, half Galra, half Inpietian. She has strong magic, and because of that, Uriel liked to keep her on a tight leash. Due to that, she was driven partially insane." My hand clenched together as I stare at the ground, "During her games, she can't always control her mood, nor can she control her powers. That's why the rules are important. Break a rule... and her magic will react on it's own. Kiren.... he broke a rule. He didn't wait and solve the task, he tried to cheat in the eyes of the game."

I looked up at them, "I don't expect you to forgive and forget. Just know that I take responsibility for her action, both from before and from here on out. Ava is my responsibility. I won't abandon her again." I looked around, Coran looked lost in thought. Allura looked as though she was prepare to kick us all out. Pidge and Hunk looked unsure. Shiro's expression was grim, yet understanding and Lance looked conflicted. I stood up, "You all have family... and if you have siblings, you understand that I can't do that to her again... I can't do that to any of them again." The castle shook, startling everyone, "Are we under attack?!" Pidge called out.

I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. "Ava..." I bolted out of the room and straight to mine. Bursting through the door. Ava was thrashing and screaming in her sleep. I cursed at myself for forgetting how violent her nightmares could be. I quickly sat beside her on the bed, holding her arms down. Her hands reacted by digging her claws into my arm, I hissed as blood began to drip down. "Ava! It's okay. It's just a dream." I called, "I'm here... I'm here. He can't hurt you now." My sister shot up, as I let go of her arms. I watched as she curled into herself in the corner of the bed. Slowly I crawled over to her, pulling her into my lap. "It's okay sis... I won't let him touch you again..."

I looked back at the door, seeing the paladins standing there. Worry, conflict and surprise mixed together in their expression. "Give us a moment guys..." Shiro nodded, ushering the others out of the room. I just held on to Ava, ignoring the pain from my arms, as I tried to calm her down. I sighed... never a peaceful moment I guess.
