~(Y/N)'s POV~

Jordan and Izaya just stared at the rest of the Paladin's. I caught the glint of tears in Pidge's eyes, her mouth hanging open. Jordan looked at Izaya, almost as though searching for conformation that it was okay to leave us. Izaya nodded, a soft smile on his lips as he gestured for Jordan to go.  The boy that I had only met moments ago - at least, that I remembered - ran to the green paladin. He picked her up, swing her around as they embraced.

Izaya's eyes soon found another that caught his attention. Ava had rushed over the moment Jordan had moved. "Are you okay?!" She cried, her hand landing on my forehead. Quickly she pulled it back, "Ow! You're burning up." Ava turned and smiled at Izaya, "Guess we'll have to wait to catch up! I'm glad to see you again." Izaya nodded, shifting his hold on me as Ava took up where Jordan had dropped. "Princess Allura?" The Altean woman nodded. My brother bowed his head a little, "My name is Izaya (L/N). Is there somewhere I would be able to put my brother?"

The princess nodded, "Of course. Coran, would you please show them the pod room. (Y/N) will..." Her voice seemed to fade along with everything else. I felt my eyelids grow heavy. Gravity seemed to get stronger as I lent on to Izaya. Through hazy vision, I saw Izaya's mouth moving, then hallways, before it all went black.

When I woke up, I wasn't greet by anyone. Instead I stumbled through the halls of the castle. Eventually I heard voices as I neared the control room. I turn the corner, the paladins, blade of Marmora, my siblings, Kiren, pretty much everyone. "What did I miss?" I smiled, my voice scratchy. "Just a way to beat Zarkon" Lance grinned. "(Y/N)! What are you doing?! You should be resting!" Izaya rushed over to my side, I waved him off. "I'm fine Iza... just-"

"You aren't fine and you are not joining this mission." My eyes narrowed slightly, "Izaya, you can't stop me. If we can finally stop Zarkon, put an end to his, free our family. Then I have to help." Izaya pulled out his blade, swing it down towards me. I manged to pull out my own blocking the attack. Izaya pushed back, causing me to stumble. I ducked as his blade again swung down. This continued, with me just managing to dodge. Finally, I use Kage's power to teleport behind my brother, pinning him to the wall.

Before I had the chance to ask why he had attacked me, or make some remark about how I was still able to beat him, pain erupted from my chest. My knees gave out as coughs rack my body. Izaya knelt down in front of me, a sorrowful look in his eyes. I knew what the blood that coated my hands meant. But I lifted my shirt just to be sure. The black marks that spread across my chest -- originating from where my heart should be -- confirmed it. I looked up, wiping the tears that I could see in the corner of Izaya's eyes away. "This only means I have to help, this may be the last chance I have to help take down Zarkon and if this works... They will all be free." I rest my forehead on his. "You all will be free."

Izaya's body began to tremble. "W... What are you talking about...?" Pidge's voice was quiet, in fact the whole room had gonna silent. I glanced at the Paladins - at everyone in the room- they all looked worried. I sighed, looking away, "I..." I bit my lip, pulling Izaya tighter, "I'm dieing..." Everyone's shock was almost tangible, everyone except Kiren. The half Altean male walked over to me, placing his hand on my shoulder, "Are you one hundred percent sure you want to help? The more you fight - the more you use those powers - the faster it will spread and the less of a chance you have to be healed."

I laughed, "Without Kage... this will just keep happening, But if I can help. If we can beat Zarkon here and now, then I want to help. I can't stand by." Kiren smiled, messing up my hair, "Okay."

"Okay?!" Keith's voice cut through the silence of the room, "He just said he is dieing! And you're okay with letting him fight!" Kiren stood up, turning to face the paladins, "Yes, if he wants to do this. If he wants to fight this battle even knowing it could be his last, then I won't stop him and none of you should either."

"Of course we're going to stop him!" Pidge added, "He is our friend, we can;t just let him die." All of the paladins voiced their agreement. Kiren's eyes narrowed, "He is my friend just as much, if not more, then he is your's. (Y/N) and Izaya saved me. They gave me a purpose, a way to try and make amends for all of the pain I caused in the past. That is way I won't get in his way, because I believe in him. I believe that he can get through this fight and if he choose to risk his ass in this war. Well then I will be right there by his side. I will give him my sword and my shield, but most importantly, I will give him my faith. Faith that he knows what he is doing, faith that he can make it through, faith that he is strong enough even with his wounds. And that faith seems to be something you all lack."

I stood up, turning to the room, "I have been fighting in this war for as long as I could remember. There is no way in hell I'm sitting out of what could very well be the final battle. So... what's the plan?"
